Andy White: Celtic doing what very few if any sides have done this season. Attacking Man City and giving as good as they get.

Can Celtic possibly keep this going for 90 minutes? They won't. It's early to say, but the substitutions in this game are going to be big.

    Celtic 2-2 Manchester City

No let-up in the action as Celtic defender Mikael Lustig gets his head to a corner but can only send a looping effort onto the roof of the net from the back post area.

    Celtic 2-2 Manchester City

A scare for Celtic as a corner is cleared as far as Raheem Sterling, who thumps in a shot from 22 yards and Nicolas Otamendi is a brave man, sticking his head on it to divert the ball narrowly wide of the target. Lots of appeals for offside but no flag.

I would argue that Sterling has been the best player on the pitch, bordering on unstoppable. He was brilliant there, so calm. Other players would have just lashed it.

    Raheem Sterling

A goal at each end for the England winger as David Silva takes advantage of a slip from Scott Brown to pick a lovely pass for Raheem Sterling to run on to. He takes out both Kieran Tierney and goalkeeper Craig Gordon with a lovely change of direction at pace and is able to roll a shot in from near the penalty spot.

Ilkay Gundogan crashes a shot again the crossbar for City but the referee had already blown for a free-kick, having spotted a handball from Sergio Aguero in the build-up.

Can Celtic keep this tempo up? They've been absolutely brilliant so far. I've never seen a Guardiola team lacking in composure like this. Fernandinho and Gundogan are being totally over-run in midfield.

It's absolutely phenomenal. Celtic are worthy of their lead. Fernandinho dives in, a stupid mistake, but all the credit goes to Kieran Tierney. If English Premier League clubs weren't looking at him before, they will be now.

    Raheem Sterling own goal

Celtic are ahead again as a lovely passing move that starts inside their own half culminates with Tom Rogic sliding the ball through for marauding left-back Kieran Tierney to run on to. The teenager, making his 50th appearance, has a lash and it deflects in off the boot of a sliding Raheem Sterling to deceive keeper Claudio Bravo at his near post.

It's a great game of football. Two teams are willing to attack each other. We wondered if Celtic would sit back. Not a chance. They are giving as good as they get.

    Celtic 1-1 Manchester City

Celtic are not letting up the whirlwind pace and City are looking rather ragged, with lots of misplaced passes.

Nolito gets a glimpse of goal as he cuts in from the right but his shot is straight at Craig Gordon.

I don't think there's anything sophisticated about that. It's a complete mis-hit. There were two players offside, but Fernandinho wasn't one of them. City haven't been in the game at all, but they are level. Can Celtic pick themselves up?

  19. CLOSE!published at 13 mins

It's breathless stuff at Celtic Park as Tom Rogic bends a low free-kick narrowly wide of Claudio Bravo's right-hand post. Another chance for the hosts.

    Fernandinho

A scuffed shot from Aleksandar Kolarov falls into the path of Fernandinho just inside the Celtic box and, with several team-mates looking suspiciously offside and lots of Celtic arms raised, he controls with his right and slots home with his left.
