  1. goal

GOAL Dundee 0-1 Celticpublished at 48 mins

    Scott Brown

Scott Brown slips a pass into the box for Moussa Dembele. The Frenchman dances away from a couple of challenges but can't find a shooting angle so Brown takes charge and crashes a left-foot finish beyond Scott Bain to give the champions the lead.

Surprised that Patrick Roberts and Leigh Griffiths haven't started this one. They could do with some games and James Forrest and Moussa Dembele could probably benefit with a rest.

It's pretty much all Celtic, but they don't have the precision of most of their games this season. First time in the league that they gone scoreless in the opening half. I don't expect that to last much longer.

  6. GREAT SAVE!published at 45+1

    Dundee 0-0 Celtic

Kieran Tierney does brilliantly to go down the left and cut the ball back across goal. James Forrest looks to be better placed to finish but Scott Sinclair takes it on and smashes the ball towards goal, forcing a good save from Scott Bain. Moussa Dembele can not divert the rebound goalwards.

Former Aberdeen defender Willie Miller: "The linesman does not put his flag up. He is told by the referee to put his flag up. There is no need for that. The linesman has got to make the decision. I don't feel that the referee in that circumstance can overrule him but that's what's happened there."

  8. CLOSE!published at 42 mins

    Dundee 0-0 Celtic

The home side have a rare foray forward and Faissal El Bakhtaoui curls a cross into the box with the outside of the boot towards Yordi Teijsse, but it looks like he makes more contact with the shoulder rather than the head and the chance is gone.

  9. Postpublished at 12:59 British Summer Time 1 October 2016

    Dundee 0-0 Celtic

Scott Brown looks reinvigorated under Brendan Rodgers, certainly much improved from the often peripheral figure of last season.

Another driving run from midfield takes him to the edge of the box but he drags his shot wide.

  10. GREAT SAVE!published at 12:58 British Summer Time 1 October 2016

    Dundee 0-0 Celtic

Tom Rogic and Moussa Dembele combine on the edge of the box and the ball ricochets of the Australian and into the path of Scott Sinclair. He looks certain to score but Scott Bain pulls off a brilliant point-blank save.

The flag was up anyway for an offside against Sinclair but great goalkeeping nonetheless.

  11. ouch!

    Ouch!published at 35 mins

    Dundee 0-0 Celtic

A sore one for Dundee's Yordi Teijsse who catches a stray Erik Sviatchenko boot right in the mush!

Thankfully he seems to be fine to continue.

  12. Postpublished at 33 mins

    Dundee 0-0 Celtic

James Forrest, knowing his opponent has to tread carefully on a booking, runs at Danny Williams and comes inside to feed Nir Bitton. The Israel midfielder steadies himself to shoot but his left-footed effort trundles harmlessly wide of the target.

Celtic dominating possession but have been a little off their game in the final third.

  15. 'They just can't handle it'published at 12:41 British Summer Time 1 October 2016

Former Aberdeen defender Willie Miller on Radio Scotland: "They [Dundee] just can't handle it. They're defending the situation just by getting everyone back. They can't get near James Forest in particular."

  16. CLOSE!published at 23 mins

    Dundee 0-0 Celtic

Tom Rogic's free-kick from the right-hand edge of the box is arrowed towards the top corner but Dundee keeper Scott Bain is well positioned and makes a good save.

  17. YELLOW CARDpublished at 22 mins

    Dundee 0-0 Celtic

James Forrest runs at Danny Williams and the Dundee man crudely chops the winger down.

    Booked.

  18. Postpublished at 20 mins

    Dundee 0-0 Celtic

Celtic have started well but haven't been able to fashion too many clear openings in the opening 20 minutes or so.

Dundee are on the back foot but when they do get forward they look more than capable of causing the champions problems.

  19. PENALTY APPEALpublished at 12 mins

    Dundee 0-0 Celtic

Well Cammy Kerr has just been booked and he takes a huge gamble by going off his feet to challenge Erik Sviatchenko in the penalty area.

The Dundee man didn't appear to get any of the ball as Sviatchenko tumbled under the tackle, but referee Andrew Dallas waves play on.

Looks like a lucky escape for the home side.

  20. YELLOW CARDpublished at 11 mins

    Dundee 0-0 Celtic

Dundee's Cammy Kerr is the first man to enter the referee's book for a foul on Tom Rogic.
