Man Utd: Why should Jose Mourinho still be cheerful?

Jose Mourinho says living alone in Manchester has become a "bit of a disaster" and is beginning to tire of photographers camped outside his hotel.

Mourinho, 53, has been living in the city's Lowry Hotel since being appointed United manager in the summer.

Yet the Portuguese claims he is loath to venture out because of the persistent hordes of photographers.

"I just want to cross the bridge and go to a restaurant. I can't, so it's really bad," Mourinho told Sky Sports.

  2. Let's get Lampard coachingpublished at 19:07 British Summer Time 26 October 2016

West Ham v Chelsea (19:45 BST)

    Gary Lineker
    MOTD presenter

Frank Lampard says he is very keen on getting into coaching, which is not a path too many English players of his calibre have taken recently when their playing days ended.

Part of that is down to them having other options. Punditry is one of them and I am sure he would be very good at it - there would be plenty of people trying to get him to work for them.

But it would be nice to see someone like Lampard go into the coaching game, with his intelligence and passion and especially because he wants to test himself as a manager.

We do not make it very easy for former players like him, though, because earning the coaching badges he would need to manage in the Premier League can take ex-professionals up to four and a half years if they go through the Football Association. That is an eternity.

  17. Extra security tonightpublished at 18:40 British Summer Time 26 October 2016

West Ham v Chelsea (19:45 BST)

West Ham's move to a new stadium has not come without trouble, with some fighting in the stands and lots of moans and groans - and a visit from rivals Chelsea tonight is hardly going to lighten the mood.

Supporters tonight will face enhanced security checks, an alcohol ban and a "robust policing plan".

Chelsea have been allocated more than 5,000 tickets for the fourth-round tie, deemed high risk because of a history of animosity between fans.

Since West Ham relocated to London Stadium this season, 23 banning orders have been issued.

Nine arrests have been made outside the ground since the move from Upton Park.

For the visit of Chelsea, fans should expect an "enhanced body search policy" at the turnstile, while no alcohol will be sold before the match from mobile bars outside the stadium.
