N'Golo Kante, goal machine? He scored his first goal for Chelsea at the weekend and the former Leicester man bursts into the area here to crack in a low shot which Darren Randolph does well to push out, just away from Michy Batshuayi.

Both teams are going strong, it's not overly patient play. Chelsea will look for Michail Antonio because he's quick, because he's powerful. Sometimes he has a tenancy to run too early and Chelsea will be aware of that.

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola speaks to Sky Sports on his team selection: "It is the last competition in terms of importance and in two days we played a tough game at Barcelona and then Southampton. Then in a few days we have West Brom and then Barcelona in the Champions League. The guys in the team deserve to play the game."

The Manchester City players have just disappeared back into the tunnel after their warm-ups. Can Vincent Kompany get through the full 90 tonight? That would be a much-needed step.

Here he is! He played in the last derby. And that's about it

Paul Murphy: Has anyone called @gmpolice about Mkhitaryan? Last seen at @ManUtd six weeks ago...

Seth Gogo Egoeh: I'm going to reserve my comments on Henrikh Mkhitaryan until I hear from either him or Mourinho. Something is wrong somewhere

Terry Urbanczyk: Enoughs enough. Mkhitaryan and Depay should start. Give Depay a fair crack and let Mkhitaryan start to show why we bought him

Tom, Manchester: It's not hard to see from the line ups who is taking the derby more seriously. #excuses #early

Donald Belfast: Strong Utd team. City very much weaker but what will pressure be like on Mourinho if City win?

Joseph Reade: Not one English player starting for City tonight. And people wonder why the national team is rubbish.

There is a very heavy police presence at London Stadium.

I am stood outside the away supporters turnstiles but it is all going smoothly at the moment.

The police helicopter has been buzzing around for two hours and West Ham have 1,000 stewards in the ground, trying to stop the problems West Ham have had.

It is all going to plan so far.

  20. EFL Cup an 'unequal competition'published at 19:35 British Summer Time 26 October 2016

West Ham v Chelsea (19:45 BST)

    David Pleat
Former Tottenham boss on 5 live Sport

It is almost as if the big clubs have come together and said we are not going to play our strongest side.

I am very disappointed with the teams put out.

I want a level playing field. Maybe there should be some rules saying teams must play three under 20s so each team has the same rule.

At the moment you are just getting an unequal competition.
