Slovenia recorded a deserved victory over their more illustrious opponents to set up a top-of-the-group clash with England on Tuesday.
The group's fourth seeds had the better of the game throughout and saw their pressure pay off when Rok Kronaveter came off the bench to score.
The result moves them on to four points, level with Scotland and two points behind Gareth Southgate's side.
Slovakia - seeded second behind England - have no points from their opening two games.

Scotland almost scrambled a late, late winner out of that. But it was all a bit huff and puff and not a great night for Gordon Strachan's team. Someone tell me how we can still qualify after failing to win at home against Lithuania.

A point salvaged by Scotland, but the frustrations were evident. Fans booed at the end, while Gordon Strachan spent the closing moments of the game growing ever more irked at the time wasting of the Lithuanians.
