The home team have been the better side but haven't been able to make the breakthrough in a match that hasn't exactly oozed quality. It took a marvellous instinctive save by Matus Kozacik to keep the scoreline blank just before half time though. Roman Bezjak got the break of the ball inside the Slovakian penalty area but the keeper managed to push his goal-bound shot against the bar.

The longer this stays goalless, the more I'm worrying about a sucker punch. The vulnerability at the back hasn't gone away. And we could do with more punch in the central striking position.

Everybody getting a little jumpy here at Hampden. Lithuania are very organised and very aggressive. They've improved since their poor Euro qualifying campaign. Slovenia took 77 minutes to score against and Poland didn't score at all in a summer friendly. Still think that Scotland will find a way of winning this. They'll need to. Need a whole lot more from Snodgrass and Ritchie in particular.
