Some silken skills appear to be on show from this young lad ahead of the game.

Jumpers for goalposts too. Isn't it? Mmmmm? Marvellous.

    Crystal Palace

    • Crystal Palace have lost three successive league games and have gone four games without a win.

Forget Brexit. Parliament really needs to address this wanton trading of half-and-half scarfs ahead of matches.

  8. Not a lot in itpublished at 14:38 Greenwich Mean Time 5 November 2016

It's worth mentioning that these two teams have near enough identical records after 10 games.

Both have won three, drawn two and lost five and sit 13th and 14th on 11 points.

Burnley have shipped 13 goals to Palace's 16, although the Eagles have the more potent attack - with their 14 goals six more than today's hosts.

    Burnley v Crystal Palace

    Martin Fisher
    Match of the Day commentator

"Sorry Burnley fans. This is the fourth time I will have commentated on your side this season - and you lost the other three.

"But records are there to be broken, right? And respective recent form suggests that could happen.

"Picking up a point at Old Trafford will act as a huge psychological boost to all in the Clarets camp, especially as it followed a third home win at the expense of Everton.

"Palace will be 'Glad All Over' to see the back of October, which brought three successive defeats. They came from behind to win on their last visit to Turf Moor and need to show similar spirit to stop the rot."

  10. Team newspublished at 14:33 Greenwich Mean Time 5 November 2016

Burnley drop striker Andre Gray to the bench with the fit-again Steven Defour brought into the midfield. The other change sees left-back Jon Flanagan make his first Premier League start for the Clarets with Stephen Ward sidelined. George Boyd misses out on a recall and stays on the bench.

Crystal Palace make three changes from the defeat to Liverpool last time out, with Damien Delaney, Jason Puncheon and Andros Townsend in for James Tomkins, Lee Chung-yong and Joe Ledley.

  11. Play it again, SAMpublished at 14:30 Greenwich Mean Time 5 November 2016

    Afternoon all.

Today's match between Burnley and Crystal Palace is more likely than not going to end in a goalless draw - according to the Sports Analytics Machine (SAM) we employ for such things.

Well SAM, if that is your real name, a super-computer you might be but I've decided we're going to get goals today, and here's a few reasons why:

    • The corresponding fixture at Turf Moor two seasons ago was a belter, with Palace coming from 2-0 down to win 3-2.
    • Palace are without a clean sheet in their last 15 Premier League games.
    • I've not done one of these live pages for ages and am very rusty, so it's sure to be bedlam.

So there you have it. Three cast-iron reasons why today's game will be chock-full of goals and entertainment. Last on Match of the Day? Not on my watch.
