Mesut Ozil jumps around as he waits for Spurs to kick off. Just as House of Pain classic 'Jump Around' soundtracks the players' arrival. Pack it up, pack it in, let the second half begin.

Jamie Watson: Surely that goal should be disallowed? What does Wimmer do? Let it go and hope for a flag? All the Arsenal players were offside

(((Malcolm Gruber))): Three Arsenal players outside trying to head the ball - why isn't that signaled as offside?

There's some chat that a few Arsenal players strayed offside before Kevin Wimmer headed into his own goal. I can't recall many Tottenham complaining at the time, maybe Pochettino will have something to say about it afterwards.

Former England international Rio Ferdinand and Ian Wright are arguing over whether there was an offence or not. Even with the assistance of former ref Howard Webb and 62 replays.

Wonder if Spurs will stick with their three centre-backs after the break? Everton boss Ronald Koeman canned it after 35 minutes at Chelsea yesterday. Maybe it only works if you're Italian and a master of catenaccio.

Kevin Wimmer is the second player to score an own goal in a north London derby, after ex-Tottenham striker Chris Armstrong in March 2000. The good news for Wimmer is that Armstrong went on to score. The bad news? Spurs still lost 2-1.

Arsenal lead and that was the result of them building up real momentum  before Kevin Wimmer's own goal - a nightmare for the defender as he had to go for Mesut Ozil's free-kick and that was always the danger.

Spurs started with real energy but have flattened out as the half has gone on while Arsenal grew strongly into the game.

It was a goal that had been coming and Spurs could not hold out.

Oyewole Oladotun H: Not even Wimmer can resist an Ozil assist.

Dan Mayhook: Wimmer's having a great game, definitely Arsenal 's best player by far.

    Arsenal 1-0 Tottenham

Tottenham edged the first round on a split decision. Arsenal dominated the second and landed the big blow.

Arsenal lead at the break after seeing out an early Spurs flurry. Those Stilton and broccoli half-time pies will taste even better for the hungry home fans.

Ouch! Shkodran Mustafi squeals as he hits the deck after an aerial collision. Play is stopped as the Arsenal physio asks the German how many fingers he see. Three? Good. He's alright.

Someone has lit the blue touch paper. Mousa Dembele clatters into Theo Walcott, sparking a scene that you might see outside your local nightclub on a Saturday night. Jostling, fingers being pointed everywhere.

Its a teasing ball from Mesut Ozil, to be fair to Kevin Wimmer, I've been there myself, anything on the ball and it is in the back of the net,

I don't think Theo Walcott has ever hit a ball as true, Arsenal are rampant here. Spurs strength has been their wing-backs but they are leaving big holes for Arsenal's speed kings.

Victor Wanyama is a wardrobe of a bloke. And Theo Walcott walks right into him, head first. Walcott winces then jogs into the box as Arsenal win the free-kick. Harry Kane is back doing the dirty work to head away Mesut Ozil's free-kick.
