The lessons that should have been learned from Watford, haven't been. Clucas was so exposed at Watford, and in the first few minutes today again. A needless penalty by Curtis Davies, but Hull are giving them too much space.

Southampton are playing well within themselves. If they went for it, they'd rip the Tigers apart here.

Almost two. Swansea need to get organised quick. They're all over the shop, allowing Marouane Fellaini to pound forward into space and meet Matteo Darmian's cross.

    Paul Pogba

This is worth £89m of anyone's money. Paul Pogba hammers Manchester United ahead with a sumptuous volley. The France midfielder watches a Swansea headed clearance drop on towards him, pirouetting to drill a right-footed effort into the bottom corner.

"What a waste of money!" sing the away fans. They're being tongue in cheek, right?

    Swansea 0-0 Man Utd

A Hollywood pass from Zlatan Ibrahimovic. He might be hitting a few more of those if the newspapers, who reckon the Swede might swap Manchester for LA, are to believed.

He rakes a 30-yard pass out wide to Matteo Darmian. He needs more crossing practice. Hits the first man.

Michael Carrick appeared on most team sheets as one of Manchester United's centre-backs, but he is playing as a holding midfielder just in front of a back four of Young-Jones-Rojo-Darmian.

Neither United nor Swansea are playing with much width or pace, so it promises to be tight and congested in midfield.

    Swansea 0-0 Man Utd

I reckon Michael Carrick could be a UN peacekeeper after football. Always calm, always reassuring. The perfect mediator. The Manchester United midfielder is an assured presence for the visitors in these early stages as they enjoy plenty of the ball.

    Swansea 0-0 Man Utd

Plenty of questions were thrown up by Jose Mourinho's teamsheet. Now we have the answers. Manchester United are playing four at the back, with Ashley Young and Matteo Darmian either side of centre-backs Phil Jones and Marcos Rojo.

Swansea are trying to capitalise on any defensive uncertainty early doors, Wayne Routledge's bold dart inside ended by Jones.

  12. HALF-TIMEpublished at 15:06 Greenwich Mean Time 6 November 2016

    Hull 0-1 Southampton

Boos as the whistle goes. There might not be many home fans, but they make enough noise to let Hull know what they thought of that first half. Southampton have barely broken sweat.

  13. HALF-TIMEpublished at 15:05 Greenwich Mean Time 6 November 2016

    Liverpool 3-0 Watford

It's been an exhibition of attacking football by Liverpool. Watford have been overwhelmed. How many more in the second half?

Gary Neville is not one to hold his tongue back and he's had his say on the Manchester United team. Plenty of keyboard warriors have been questioning Jose Mourinho's selection, but G Nev says he can't see who else he would pick. With the aid of an expletive when describing the form of those on the sidelines.

Wayne Rooney almost quietens the haters, skipping inside the Swansea box and curling inches past the far post.

Saves in two games. Costel Pantilimon from a James Milner free-kick at Anfield, Hull's David Marshall denying Charlie Austin from a tight angle. Approaching HT in the 14:15 kick-offs.

  16. KICK-OFFpublished at 15:01 Greenwich Mean Time 6 November 2016

    Swansea 0-0 Man Utd

Silence falls on the Liberty Stadium for a minute. Then the tranquility is replaced by a thunderous roar.

Paul Pogba does a quick prayer, perhaps like millions of United fans across the world, then Swansea get the game rock'n'rolling.

    Emre Can (43 mins)

It's a procession. Liverpool look they could score every time they go forward. This time it's Emre Can, arriving at the back post with no white shirt for company, meeting Adam Lallana's cross. Jurgen Klopp is off the bench once more, punching the air. Anfield is having a party.

    Match of the Day commentator

Since the end of August, Manchester United have lost as many as they've won in all competitions - hardly what their dreams were made of when Mourinho, Zlatan and Pogba were employed.

The race for supremacy in the Premier League seems to be taking place somewhere in the middle distance - almost out of United's sight already. They have failed to even score a league goal in almost five hours of play.

Swansea, however, would love United's problems - eighth place and still in Europe? Happy days!

Bob Bradley was honest in his assessment of their defeat at Stoke on Monday - not good enough.

Swansea v Man Utd (15;00 GMT)

It's almost freezing in the Swansea stands. Jose Mourinho is not overly wrapped up as the suspended Manchester United manager takes his seat.

But he does have a face like someone who has just realised they've forgotten their scarf and gloves. Angry.

One brave punter asks him for a photo. A bewildered look and polite wave of the hand tells him it isn't happening.
