Jose Mourinho is right. He is only 18 months ago a winner but is he at a crossroads now? He doesn't look happy in the role at United. He needs to enjoy himself. It is a great job. It would put a huge smile on his face to beat Arsenal as he has this personal beef with Wenger.

He needs to concentrate on himself. He is a great manager and United will want him to act in a dignified way. If we judge him on the games he has won since last season, it is not good.

Manchester United's Zlatan Ibrahimovic serves a ban, while Marouane Fellaini is doubtful with a calf problem.

Arsenal will assess Alexis Sanchez, who started for Chile on Tuesday despite suffering a hamstring problem earlier in the international break.

Hector Bellerin will be missing for four weeks because of an ankle injury. Santi Cazorla remains out with an Achilles problem.

It would appear that Jose is feeling a bit hard done by...

"My record against any other manager is not important," Mourinho told reporters on Friday. "What you get, you do it as a team.

"[Saturday] is a match between the two managers with the best record in the Premier League. Sir Alex Ferguson isn't here any more... I have three [titles], he [Arsene Wenger] has three...

"Does that mean we should be respected, even in periods where our results are not the best?

"I think Mr Wenger has that respect from all of you, I don't think I have, especially because my last Premier League title was 18 months ago, not 18 years ago."

  7. Speaking of England some more...published at 09:48 Greenwich Mean Time 19 November 2016

It has been another bad week for Wayne Rooney, who was pictured with two women in the Sun,, external reportedly "too drunk to stand at a wedding".

Inevitably, every person remotely connected with football has been asked about the matter, including Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp, who was, as usual, a voice of sense and wisdom...

Fifa has opened disciplinary proceedings against the Football Association and the Scottish FA after "a series of incidents" at last week's World Cup qualifying game at Wembley.

Both FAs had been charged for wearing poppies in the match on Armistice Day.

Fifa rules forbid "political" statements on shirts.

The display of poppies on big screens, the minute's silence, playing the Last Post and handing poppy T-shirts to the crowd will also be assessed.

Fifa also cited "several cases of fan misconduct" and the display of flags by fans of both teams during England's 3-0 win.

Four games, two wins, two draws. It is not a bad record by any means. And it is enough to earn Gareth Southgate an interview at least to become the next permanent England manager.

The 46-year-old will be interviewed at St George's Park on Monday by a panel including FA chairman Greg Clarke, chief executive Martin Glenn, technical director Dan Ashworth, as well as League Managers' Association chairman Howard Wilkinson and former England defender Graeme Le Saux.

The FA insists there is no time frame on when an appointment will be made, with England's next game a friendly in Germany in March, and the final decision will be taken by Clarke, Glenn and Ashworth.

It is always a huge game. I feel United will be a reflection of their manager this weekend. They will be pragmatic but they will have a cutting edge. I don't think they will be as open as they were against Man City but they won't close up like against Liverpool as the United fans want to see a side attack.

After 13 days of debating how many beers is too many for the England captain, and which tributes on Armistice Day are too much, it's back to the bread-and-butter.

From now until the New Year it's a relentless schedule. Enough to make and/or break a career. Enough to infuriate Jurgen Klopp.

Enough to make Jose Mourinho smile?
