  1. GREAT SAVE!published at 56 mins

    Crystal Palace 0-1 Man City

City feel they should have a free-kick as they try to break, but instead here comes Palace.

Jason Puncheon's cross is met by Christian Benteke, but his header is kept out at point-blank range by Claudio Bravo and Wilfried Zaha slams the ball wide as he follows up at the far post.

    Crystal Palace 0-1 Man City

Palace have a free-kick out on the left after Wilfried Zaha is caught by Nolito and Aleksandar Kolarov. Both of them fouled him, so City can have few complaints.

This is going straight in the mixer but it is easily cleared.

Pablo Zabaleta is involved again, this time at the other end, and he is furious as he is tripped off the ball by Palace winger Jason Puncheon.

Referee Robert Madley decides to have a word with both of them rather than dish out any cards, and does not give City a free-kick either. I don't think he saw it, in fairness, but the linesman on that side should have done.

    Crystal Palace 0-1 Man City

City have started on the front foot, and they have a corner after Claudio Bravo's long ball forward almost finds Nolito haring into the left-hand side of the box.

Palace clear their lines and try to break but Pablo Zabaleta mops up any danger.

  5. KICK-OFFpublished at 16:03

    Crystal Palace 0-1 Man City

Palace are making a change for the second half - Connor Wickham is on for Andros Townsend. The Eagles have just got the game back under way.

    A word for Vincent Kompany.

You don't want to say, 'this is it' but we have all had those moments when you are consistently getting injured.

I had to finish through injury and he looked like a player who knew that he has a big job on to be able to cope with the demands of the Premier League now.

You'll see on Match of the Day tonight that there is a long walk to the tunnel at Selhurst Park and it's sad actually.

You can almost see Vincent Kompany saying to himself, 'I can't believe this is happening again, what does this mean?'

  8. Postpublished at 15:48

    Crystal Palace 0-1 Man City

City lead at the break through Yaya Toure's goal.

  9. INJURY TIMEpublished at 45 mins

    Crystal Palace 0-1 Man City

There will be three minutes of added time at the end of the first half.

Palace have just won another free-kick, again hoisting it towards the area, but City are keeping them at arm's length so far.

  10. Postpublished at 44 mins

    Crystal Palace 0-1 Man City

Pablo Zabaleta is playing right-back for City by the way, with Bacary Sagna moving in to play alongside Nicolas Otamendi at centre-half.

We've seen plenty of huff and puff from Palace since they fell behind but they are yet to threaten an equaliser.

    Crystal Palace 0-1 Man City

The travelling City fans are celebrating by singing an old favourite - the "Kolo Kolo Kolo / Yaya Yaya Yaya"  classic to the tune of 2 Unlimited's 'No Limit'.

They have not had much of a chance to use it of late.

  12. goal

GOAL - Crystal Palace 0-1 Man Citypublished at 39 mins

    Yaya Toure (38 mins)

This is how to mark your recall after three months out in the cold.

Yaya Toure exchanges passes with Nolito and smashes the ball past Wayne Hennessey from the edge of the box. It took a deflection on the way into the top corner but I am not sure Hennessey would have got there anyhow.

City's attack started when Palace full-back Martin Kelly gave the ball away deep in his own half. From then on, his side were in big trouble.

  13. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 38 mins

    Crystal Palace 0-0 Man City

    Here comes Pablo Zabaleta now.

  14. Postpublished at 37 mins

    Crystal Palace 0-0 Man City

The frustration is etched on Vincent Kompany's face as he trudges down the tunnel. He has a problem with his vision and cannot stay on. Another setback for the City skipper.

City are down to 10 men for the time being because Pablo Zabaleta is not ready to come on.

  15. Postpublished at 35 mins

    Crystal Palace 0-0 Man City

Vincent Kompany did well to head a Jason Puncheon cross clear a few moments away but it looks like he is still feeling the after-effects of that collision. He cannot continue.

  16. Postpublished at 33 mins

    Crystal Palace 0-0 Man City

At last, City have an effort on goal. Aleksandar Kolarov fires in an inviting cross from the left but a stretching Sergio Aguero cannot quite get the right connection on the ball in the middle and his volley flies high and wide. Far from the easiest of chances, in fairness.

  17. Postpublished at 31 mins

    Crystal Palace 0-0 Man City

Another Palace shot, but it is hardly a dangerous one. Yohan Cabaye chooses to go for goal when his side earn another free-kick 30 yards out, but his low effort fizzes well wide of the target.

  18. Postpublished at 30 mins

    Crystal Palace 0-0 Man City

City's best attack so far, which admittedly is not saying much.

Nolito feeds Raheem Sterling out on the right and darts into the box, but cannot quite get on the end of the return pass, which flashes across the front of Wayne Hennessey's goal.

  19. Postpublished at 29 mins

    Crystal Palace 0-0 Man City

Vincent Kompany is back on his feet and seems okay. Play is back under way.

  20. Postpublished at 27 mins

    Crystal Palace 0-0 Man City

More trouble for City skipper Vincent Kompany. He chases a long ball over the top with Jason Puncheon lurking, and collides with his own keeper Claudio Bravo. Nasty.

Kompany is down and being checked out for concussion.
