  1. 'It's hard to see Palace ending their losing streak'published at 14:44

Crystal Palace v Man City (15:00 GMT)

    Mark Lawrenson
    BBC pundit

Palace's poor form is one of the reasons Lawro is going for a City win with his prediction:

Lawros says: "Manchester City have also dropped some points in the past few weeks but what helps them here is they are well placed in their Champions League group.

"That means City boss Pep Guardiola does not have to have one eye on their trip to play Borussia Monchengladbach on Wednesday when he picks his team for this game,

"Crystal Palace have lost their past four league matches, and it is hard to see them ending that losing streak on Saturday."

    Lawro's score: 0-2

Lawro's opponent Rick Astley is also going for a City win, despite being a Manchester United fan. You can read Rick's thoughts here.

Crystal Palace v Man City (15:00 GMT)

Tributes are being paid at Selhurst Park today to the victims of the Croydon tram crash on 9 November.

Seven people died when a tram derailed in south London, including two Crystal Palace fans, Dane Chinnery and Philip Seary.

"The terrible events in Croydon had a massive impact on us," said Palace boss Alan Pardew.

Some of the victims' families are at today's game and the club has contributed to a fund to help them.

Palace players will wear black armbands and there will be a minute's silence before kick-off.

The family of Chinnery, 19, have also asked Palace fans at the game to join them in a minute's applause.

Crytal Palace make two changes from the team that lost 3-2 at Burnley before the international break.

The big news in the Manchester City line-up is the return of Yaya Toure, for his first Premier League appearance of the season and only his second game in any competition during the current campaign - he started a Champions League qualifying play-off against Steaua Bucharest in August.

Toure had been told by City boss Pep Guardiola on 20 September that he would not be considered for selection until his agent Dimitri Seluk apologised for criticising the decision to leave him out.

Vincent Kompany and Bacary Sagna also return to the City starting XI as Guardiola makes six changes. Nicolas Otamendi, Raheem Sterling and Nolito are the other players recalled.

  4. A "dismal" recent recordpublished at 14:34

Crystal Palace v Man City (15:00 GMT)

The bad news for Pardew? As John Motson, today's MOTD commentator at Selhurst Park, puts it, his side have got a "dismal" recent record against City, who have won 10 of their last 11 meetings with the Eagles and scored 25 goals, conceding just five.

  5. The worst team of 2016?published at 14:30

Crystal Palace v Man City (15:00 GMT)

Hello. Shall we start with a stat? Here you go...

Pardew's Crystal Palace side are on a four-game losing streak in the Premier League but their poor form goes further back than the past few weeks. The Eagles have claimed just 0.73 points per game in 2016, the worst rate of any team in England's top four tiers.

'The worst team of 2016' is the title nobody wants but at least Palace have got time to try to lose that tag - starting against title-chasing Manchester City.
