The last time I saw Burnley was on the second Saturday of this season when, as a paying punter in the away end at Turf Moor, I annoyingly saw them defend superbly for 90 minutes to beat Liverpool.

I simply cannot believe this is the same team and I suspect neither can Sean Dyche!

Albion are so on top that their main vocal section in the Smethwick End asked Tony Pulis to give them a wave... And he actually did!!!

As a Burnley player you wold not want to concede five or six - that could really damage their confidence.

Rondon has been fantastic - he has certainly been too much for the Burnley central defenders.

Another standing ovation as Salomon Rondon departs to be replaced by Hal Robson-Kanu.

Burnley make their third and final swap, sending on George Boyd for Johann Berg Gudmundsson.

Have a go from 40 yards? Why not. Chris Brunt has a good go but his effort lacks power and bobbles harmlessly wide.

  6. CLOSE!published at 76 mins

    West Brom 4-0 Burnley

Close but no cigar. Johann Berg Gudmundsson's free-kick from 22 yards - following a diving foul by Jonny Evans - needs a touch from Ben Foster and a healthy bit of crossbar to prevent it giving Burnley a consolation.

Burnley have been very good at getting points on the board at home but their away form is important.

Matt Phillips has been very, very good - he got his goal, got an assist. He has been a real handful and how he cannot get in the Scottish squad is beyond me and most of Scotland.

  8. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 74 mins

    West Brom 4-0 Burnley

A standing ovation for Matt Phillips as he is replaced by James McClean. Fully deserved.

Ben Foster is finally drawn into action. He does his job well, too. Johann Berg Gudmundsson's shot swerves nastily through a group of players but the Baggies keeper reacts quickly to block and then gets lucky as the ball ricochets back into his grasp off Craig Dawson.

Thankless task, this. Andre Gray comes on for Sam Vokes.

That is game over. Salomon Rondon deserved that for sheer workrate. It was a lovely touch from James Morrison for Allan Nyom who pulls it back for Salomon Rondon. He has his back to goal, swivels and I think it takes two deflections. Rondon deserved that.

  14. Postpublished at 68 mins

    West Brom 4-0 Burnley

Burnley do well to get in down the right but Claudio Yacob is there to block and concede a corner. For a second, from the delivery, the ball is there to be hit but the Baggies are first to react and Rondon hammers the ball clear.

Salomon Rondon places his giant boot down on any lingering doubt over the result and grinds it into the dirt. He has deserved this. The big forward collects Nyom's low cross, turns and fires low into the net. The ball takes two slight deflections on its way, but it was always on target.

    West Brom 3-0 Burnley

Craig Dawson finds space in the box to meet a free-kick in to the box but his steered header drifts wide of goal. Looks like we are going to see James McClean soon for the Baggies.

  17. Postpublished at 60 mins

    West Brom 3-0 Burnley

Twice Jonny Evans comes to West Brom's aid. His sliding tackle prevents one Burnley player having a pop and then the defender is well-placed to block Johann Berg Gudmundsson's cross-come-shot.

Ben Foster's gloves remain notably dirt-free.

Salomon Rondon is a nightmare to mark. He is ludicrously strong with his back to goal. It must be like trying to out-muscle a fridge.

Burnley are seeing plenty of the ball again and are lobbing the ball into the box but so far the Baggies are holding firm.

    West Brom 3-0 Burnley

Ashley Barnes has been a real handful since he came on. It was a sharp turn and cross. Claudio Yacob took up a good position for West Brom.

The corner is to the near post and headed away with ease by Matt Phillips. Total waste.
