That didn't take long. Matt Phillips is handed the opening goal with a great big bow around it. James Morrison's low cross is poked suicidally towards his own goal by the sliding Dean Marney and Phillips is on it in a flash, turning and firing in to the roof of the net from six yards.

    West Brom 0-0 Burnley

Plenty of noise from the Burnley away contingent. They're bouncing. To be fair, though, they need to just to stay warm.

  3. Postpublished at 1 min

    West Brom 0-0 Burnley

Early chance for Burnley. The ball is worked wide right and then fired low towards Sam Vokes in the box. He has men all around him and one of them is well-placed to block and clear the striker's attempted flick.

West Brom striker Saido Berahino for the past year has been an absolute joke. Going to France to get fit? Why can't he get fit in a park in Birmingham? The least you would expect is a player to be fit. He's let himself down. He's a massive talent.

It took just eight minutes for Jamie Walker to open the scoring for Hearts at Hamilton Academical - you can follow that match here.

Tony Pulis and Sean Dyche share a good old laugh as they emerge from the tunnel. Put that all on hold for 90 minutes, though. Game on.

West Brom v Burnley (20:00 GMT)

    Jonathan Pearce
Match of the Day commentator at the Hawthorns

Burnley haven't won at The Hawthorns since 1969. Donald Trump was just starting out in dad Fred's real estate business.

The US number one hit was Na Na Hey Hey Kiss Him Goodbye, and the word ego, as meaning self-centred, was recognised for the first time in dictionaries.

Another away win won't be as stunning as Trump's election but it would be a surprise, even though the Baggies have won just once in nine home games. Burnley haven't scored an away Premier League goal from free play in 444 minutes.

I'll take West Brom to edge it at set-pieces - and both clubs to survive.

  8. 'Pulis and Dyche are similar'published at 19:57 Greenwich Mean Time 21 November 2016

    Chris Sutton
Ex-Chelsea striker on BBC Radio 5 live

I think there are similarities between Baggies boss Tony Pulis and Clarets counterpart Sean Dyche - they are organisers and realists. They have players they can trust in their teams. There are a lot of similarities between how the teams set up.

  10. Lawro's predictionpublished at 19:55 Greenwich Mean Time 21 November 2016

    Mark Lawrenson
    Former Liverpool defender

These teams have a few things in common - they are both in mid-table and managed by two very good British managers who know exactly what they are doing.

I am going with Tony Pulis's West Brom to win on Monday, though.

The Clarets do not have much of a goal threat away from home and I do not see the Baggies giving them many opportunities in front of goal.

Lawro's opponent in this week's predictions is 80s pop star Rick Astley. Here he is enjoying a mash up Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba dancing to Never Gonna Give You Up...

Jon Hind: Take your pick - Franny Jeffers, Michael Branch or Billy Kenny. All tipped to be huge. None were.

Richard C Grace: Franny Jeffers. So much promise at Everton, saw the £££ at Arsenal and look what happened??

Matthew Harmonyx: You could create an entire starting eleven out of Man City wasted talent: Micah Richards, M. Johnson, Rodwell, Sinclair...

Sam Vokes has a unique badge of honour for Burnley this season. He is currently the scorer of their only goal away from Turf Moor all campaign.

That goal - at Southampton in a 3-1 loss last month - is one of three he has scored in the Clarets' last four games.

As we're on the subject of Welsh strikers, the mighty Hal Robson-Kanu has been shortlisted by Fifa for the 2016 Puskas Award, given to the scorer of the year's best goal.

Surely I don't really need to tell you for which goal he is shortlisted? I'll give you a clue - the opponent starts with 'B' and ends in 'elgium'.

In news more related to this evening's activities, West Brom striker Saido Berahino says he is in a positive frame of mind despite being sent back to a conditioning camp in France.

The 23-year-old last played in September and was recently put on a training regime after being ruled unfit and overweight.

It is crossroads time for Saido. What career path does he fancy? Harry Kane or Mido?

  17. 'There are no easy games'published at 19:42 Greenwich Mean Time 21 November 2016

West Brom v Burnley (20:00 GMT)

Burnley boss Sean Dyche: "It is the performance we are looking for, particular given that we away from home. We have to bring more freedom to the performance but it is the Premier League and there are no easy games.

"Tony Pulis has a good record of creating teams that are difficult to play against but we are happy with what we are doing at the moment.”

  18. 'It will be a tough game'published at 19:40 Greenwich Mean Time 21 November 2016

West Brom v Burnley (20:00 GMT)

West Brom boss Tony Pulis: "We played well at Leicester last time out - I was pleased with the team performance. We will have to do that again tonight – it will be a tough game and if we are not right on it they could come away winning the game.

"We will hopefully get opportunities and chances and take them tonight.

"Nacer Chadli trained with the physios this morning and, fingers crossed, he will be right for Hull on Saturday."

There was good news for Arsenal today as defender Hector Bellerin signed a new long-term deal with the Premier League club, leaving officials at Manchester City and Barcelona to slink off like Wile E. Coyote, licking their wounds and in need of a new plan.

The Gunners clearly recognize Spaniard Bellerin's value. He only signed a deal in July 2015 and has now been rewarded with another contract. Good times for his agent.
