An atrocious lack of discipline from Jose Mourinho.

I'm not saying he has lost the plot but he is a different manager these days...

Jose's off to the stands! He aims an almighty kick at a drinks bottle down on the touchline in anger at a booking for Paul Pogba - who looked to be jumping to avoiding getting clattered - and is directed from the touchline by Jonathan Moss.

  3. CLOSE!published at 26 mins

    Southampton 1-0 Everton

Idrissa Gueye is playing the wrong sport. The ball is pulled back to the penalty spot and the midfielder has all the time he needs to pick his spot but instead punts the ball over the bar. It is a perfect rugby conversion, but a goal-kick here.

He came so close with Liverpool, but after eight years as a manager Brendan Rodgers is finally able to celebrate the first major trophy of his career.

Rodgers' Celtic side have comfortably beaten Aberdeen to win the Scottish League Cup final, the goals coming from Tom Rogic, James Forrest and Moussa Dembele.

Party time at Hampden Park, unless you're an Aberdeen fan.

Southampton continue to boss the game at St Mary's. Charlie Austin's low shot from the edge of the box is saved by Maarten Stekelenburg.

    Zlatan Ibrahimovic

Now this is more like the contribution of a £90m+ footballer. Paul Pogba strokes a beautiful ball over the West Ham defence and on to the head of Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who is on the edge of the six-yard box and steers his glancing nod into the net. That is the Swede's third goal in his last one and bit Premier League games.

    Southampton 1-0 Everton

Pierre-Emile Højbjerg has a shot in him, which he demonstrates with a long-range drive that rises just a yard or two too much to clear the crossbar. Everton are offering nothing.

Josh Sims is loving this Premier League lark. Nathan Redmond picks him out in the box and his steered header is saved by Maarten Stekelenburg. Worryingly for Ronald Koeman, the Saints look dangerous every time they come forward.

    Manchester United 0-1 West Ham

    Simon Stone
    BBC Sport at Old Trafford

There have been times this season when the likelihood of Bastian Schweinsteiger playing for Manchester United again were longer than Leicester winning the Premier League last term.

But no matter how long the odds were - at one point Mourinho said he would prefer to play the kids if his options were depleted so much the German could come into consideration - Schweinsteiger has never given up hope of a recall.

He may not get on. But merely by putting his name on the team sheet, Mourinho has drawn back from his previous position.

Schweinsteiger, it seems, may have a future at Old Trafford after all.

Now it is Juan Mata's turn. He does better, managing to get his effort on target from inside the box but it is easy for Darren Randolph to pluck out of the air.

    Man Utd 0-1 West Ham

Manchester United are seeing plenty of the ball but they are struggling to create openings. Paul Pogba takes matters into his own hands and attempts a shot that is as high as it is wide. How much did he cost again?

    Man Utd 0-1 West Ham

Manchester United look to respond and carve out an opening for Zlatan Ibrahimovic. His shot from the edge of the box is blocked but wouldn't have counted anyway as the striker was offside when receiving the ball.

It's raining goals! West Ham put a cat amongst the pigeons with a goal that silences Old Trafford. Dimitri Payet curls in a free-kick that is headed in by Diafra Sakho. Zlatan Ibrahimovic was his marker but the Swede went AWOL.

Man Utd v West Ham (16:30 GMT)

    Martin Keown
Former Arsenal defender on MOTD2 Extra

It's about getting results now. There is this inconsistency in the league. Now you can recover but teams are gathering form and I can't see Manchester United catching them.

Ander Herrera and Michael Carrick have all had to come from behind as Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho didn't identify them. Zlatan Ibrahimovic will be offered a new contract and I think that is a good move as he is a good person to have around.
