    Man City 1-1 Middlesbrough

    Manchester City

Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero, who scored the home side's opener but missed a sitter before Middlesbrough's equaliser: "It was a strange match because we controlled the game but I have a bad feeling because we conceded.

"I had many chances today, the clearest was the one where Jesus Navas pulled the ball back to me. It was under my feet and I only had a few seconds to decide. I need to improve on that.

"The Premier League is a complicated competition where anyone can beat you. That showed today."

  2. We did everything to win - Peppublished at 17:34 Greenwich Mean Time 5 November 2016

    Man City 1-1 Middlesbrough

    Manchester City

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola: "We did absolutely everything to win the game, controlled the game and in the last minute we concede a goal. It is a pity. We did a lot of good things and tried to win the game.

On City suffering from a Barcelona hangover: "Not really, we started amazing and played really good in the first half. We have to close the game with second or third goal and we couldn't do that. We created six or seven chances and didn't score.

On giving Arsenal, Liverpool and Chelsea the opportunity to overtake them before the international break: "When you miss you have to accept that, but the league is still long. It is a miss because we have dropped six points in the last three home games but we are still there. We have to move forward."

    Man City 1-1 Middlesbrough

Pep Guardiola is in the house. The Manchester City gaffer is wearing a slightly manic grin as he chews the fat over that - as far as Blues fans will be concerned - carcass of a game.

    His thoughts on the way...

  4. 'An amazing result'published at 17:32 Greenwich Mean Time 5 November 2016

    Man City 1-1 Middlesbrough

    Middlesbrough

Middlesbrough manager Aitor Karanka: "It was an amazing result. Because in the first half we went on to the pitch with too much respect for them.

"I told them at half-time we weren't just there to defend and that we could play like we did in the second half. I was pleased with our performance.

"Two weeks ago at Arsenal was more difficult than today because Arsenal didn't score and we were organised. Our reaction was really good and it is a big step to showing how good we are."

  6. 'Fully in our stride'published at 17:28 Greenwich Mean Time 5 November 2016

    West Ham 1-1 Stoke

    Stoke City

Stoke City manager Mark Hughes, speaking to Match of the Day: "We felt we went behind against the run of play but we responded in the right manner.

"It's difficult to play on this pitch. It's slow and we had to change how we played a little bit.

"A lot was made of our so-called difficult start. We have come up against decent teams and haven't quite hit our levels.

"But we are now fully into our stride and where we want to be."

    Bournemouth 1-2 Sunderland

    Bournemouth

Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe, speaking to BBC Sport: "We were in total control at 1-0, but we stopped being as progressive as I would have liked and they found a way back into the game.

"We didn't deal with Victor Anichebe particularly well, especially for the goal, but we created some gilt-edged chances and it is frustrating they didn't go in. Their keeper played well, so credit to him.

"We believe in what we do. It is a tough league, so we focus on the next match."

    Sunderland

More from David Moyes, speaking to Sky Sports: "We played well and deserved the victory. We owed the supporters the victory, they have kept with us. We needed a win, it is only one, we need a few more.

"We got a bit of luck at the right time, we made it as well, we worked hard enough.

"We had to hang in and hope it is our day. We got our goal and Victor Anichebe and Jermain Defoe were fantastic. Ultimately the goalkeeper and back four did a great job today,

"It is a big relief, I never had any questions marks over the support of the owner or board. It is only one win, we don't move off the bottom of the league only look at team above us and try and catch them."

  9. 'It is only one win'published at 17:22 Greenwich Mean Time 5 November 2016

    Bournemouth 1-2 Sunderland

    Sunderland

David Moyes speaking to BBC Sport: "Victor Anichebe was terrific today. He has an awful lot going for him and his all-round performance was terrific. He got an injury early on - he thought he broke his rib."

On the second yellow card shown to Steven Pienaar: "At the time I thought there was nothing in the tackle, I thought he got the ball, but now I can see why it can be given.

"It is only one win. We need two, we need to just keep picking up the points. Hopefully it will show people there is a great spirit and commitment among the players and desire to do well.

"We went to a factory this week, showing the players it is much better to be a footballer than working in a factory."

  10. 'Daft mistakes have cost us'published at 17:19 Greenwich Mean Time 5 November 2016

    Burnley 3-2 Crystal Palace

Crystal Palace boss Alan Pardew: "We've made errors for the goals but played well and it frustrates me to say that. It's daft mistakes which have cost us. I think we got carried away at 2-2 and over committed at a set play and it cost us.

"This defeat is a big blow for us because we have some tough games coming up. We're going to have to be strong after the international break and get some results. We dominated and actually played some good football today.

"We don't look like a team that has lost four games, it's been fine margins. We need to cut out these mistakes, and get ourselves to a position where we can see out a game. We set the target of scoring two goals today and when you do that away from home you should be looking to take the points. Our position in the table is not a reflection of our performances but it is what it is."

    Man City 1-1 Middlesbrough

Middlesbrough manager Aitor Karanka might not have been invited into Pep Guardiola's office for a post-match drink anyway because of their Real Madrid-Barca rivalry. He definitely won't now after that smash and grab raid.

Karanka is not getting over excited by the win though. He barely cracks a smile in his post-match interview.

  12. 'It was a ding-dong of a game'published at 17:17 Greenwich Mean Time 5 November 2016

    Burnley 3-2 Crystal Palace

Burnley boss Sean Dyche: "I think we deserved the points by the final whistle. It was a real ding-dong of a game. Both teams went at it and I've been really pleased with the mentality of the group to finish in such a good way.

"I thought we played with confidence, although at 2-0 we were a little bit nervy, and I was happy with the fantastic finish from Ashley Barnes.

"It's fantastic to be ninth in the table for a club like Burnley. There are questions asked of us in the Premier League but we're enjoying the ride and we want to keep improving and there are signs of that. We will just keep taking each games as it comes."

  13. 'Noose has been taken off us'published at 17:15 Greenwich Mean Time 5 November 2016

    West Ham 1-1 Stoke

Stoke City midfielder Glenn Whelan told Match of the Day: "The noose has been taken off us after a shocking start to the season. We have shown in the last six games that we are a good side. We are looking onwards and upwards.

"If we had lost 1-0 we would have been a bit disappointed. The lads did well to get back into the game. Our squad is really good and has shown its strength in depth. "

On the own goal: "It came off the back of my head."

  14. 'Stupid' goal to concedepublished at 17:13 Greenwich Mean Time 5 November 2016

    West Ham 1-1 Stoke

West Ham United's Michail Antonio: "It's points dropped. It was a bad mistake for the goal, we're making too many of them. To concede a goal like that is stupidity really."

On West Ham's goal being awarded as a Glenn Whelan own goal: "It should have been my goal. I'm on a bit of a drought. To have it taken away from me is very disappointing. I was looking forward to that goal."

  15. 'We got too excited'published at 17:11 Greenwich Mean Time 5 November 2016

    Burnley 3-2 Crystal Palace

Crystal Palace striker Connor Wickham: "We're massively disappointed. Two of the goals have come from our own mistakes. We worked so hard to come back and deserve more out of the game.

"We just got excited and went for all three points at 2-2 when maybe we should have held out for the draw. We were way off it in the first half, conceded two goals we can definitely work on to improve, but got ourselves back in the game and deserved something.

"That's football and we need to pick ourselves up now. We are going to have keep working on things and become more solid. We should be higher than we are. We have got to keep our heads up and go again."

That's the most exciting finish I've seen in a Premier League game this season. The look on Marten de Roon's face was priceless - he was overjoyed and bewildered at the same time.

    Bournemouth 1-2 Sunderland

Jermain Defoe, who scored Sunderland's winner told Sky Sports: "It is a massive win. Week by week I feel like we have improved, it is just a case of luck.

"The energy levels were brilliant, we showed great team spirit and character when it was hard. Credit to the boys.

"Managers get sacrificed, they put the work in but they can only do so much. It is down to the players. David Moyes wasn’t on the bench but I can imagine he is delighted. This win is for the manager and fans, who are unbelievable."

  18. 'I scored with a cracked rib'published at 17:08 Greenwich Mean Time 5 November 2016

    Bournemouth 1-2 Sunderland

Sunderland goalscorer Victor Anichebe said he "cracked a rib" in the first half of the win at Bournemouth. He gave his shirt to a travelling fan at full-time and revealed a heavily bandaged rib cage.

Speaking after the game to Sky Sports he said: "We did this for the manager, over he last few weeks we have not done him justice. It has been a huge transition from last year to this one. For all the work the manager has done, this one was for him. He is the one who has been getting the blame, even though we are the ones on the pitch.

"You could see by the reaction at the final whistle. We have wanted this result for so long. It was a must win game, even when we were down to 10 men, we didn’t sulk we grinded it out.

"The first half I cracked my rib, I couldn’t move properly."

Over to you then Chelsea. The Blues will move top if they beat Everton after Boro's heroics at Manchester City. Sgt Pep's side are still top, but only a point ahead of Arsenal, Liverpool and Chelsea.

That late Middlesbrough equaliser means that City can also be overtaken by both Arsenal and Liverpool tomorrow. Both of those teams are one point behind City, but with slightly inferior goal differences.

    Chelsea v Everton (17:30 GMT)

No surprises as Chelsea boss Antonio Conte names an unchanged line-up for the third successive game. The Blues have won their previous four Premier League fixtures.

That means Pedro retains his place in attack, alongside Diego Costa and Eden Hazard, who scored against Southampton last weekend.
