Referee Bobby Madley must have found his yellow cards at half-time. He's dishing another one out. This time he waves it in Jordan Henderson's face for a foul on Junior Stanislas.

Ironic cheers from the home fans. Why? Because Roberto Firmino is penalised for a handball as he scraps Nathan Ake for a loose ball.

Simon Francis's name is scribbled into referee Bobby Madley's notebook for a foul on James Milner. Chance for Liverpool to put this one to bed. Steve Cook flicks the delivery clear and Bournemouth survive.

Bournemouth's record signing Jordon Ibe gets a polite round applause from the Liverpool fans as he trots over to the touchline in front of them. Like his former Anfield team-mate Divock Origi, he's wearing gloves, while Roberto Firmino adopts the method of Denis Law back in the day - clutching the cuffs of his long-sleeved shirt to keep most of his hands covered against the cold.

Eddie Howe takes a good glug of water as he settles down on the bench. Maybe his throat is a little dry after rocketing his players at the break...

This sums up Jack Wilshere's afternoon. He twists and turns in the final third, trying to make something happen. But he does too much, loses possession and then fouls Gini Wijnaldum as he tries to win it back. A few expletives in the referee's direction earns him a yellow card.

Bournemouth need to do something drastic. And Eddie Howe has acted. Off comes Joshua King, on comes former Liverpool man Jordon Ibe.

The £15m man trots over to the right flank.

Had Curzon Ashton's players allowed their minds to drift to the third-round draw? Daydreaming Of a trip to the Old Trafford or Anfield perhaps? 

The non-league side were 3-0 up with 10 minutes left to play in their second-round tie with  AFC Wimbledon thanks to Adam Morgan's hat-trick. THREE. NIL. UP. But in the most frantic of finishes somehow they contrived to lose the game 4-3. 

Here's a clip of Wimbledon's winning goal in the fourth minute of added time from Tom Elliott. Worth watching for the celebration of those travelling Wimbledon fans alone. Curzon Ashton boss John Flanagan could do nothing but simply put his head in his hands.

And here's the proof that Callum Wilson has barely had a sniff. The Bournemouth striker only managed 15 touches in that first half - just one more than Liverpool's largely-unemployed keeper Loris Karius. And two of Wilson's came from restarting the game...

The first half ends with Liverpool in total control - and Bournemouth assistant manager Jason Tindall in the referee's ear about that penalty appeal.

The attacking trident of Origi, Mane and Firmino have left the hosts struggling to clear their lines at times, while Bournemouth's main creative force Jack Wilshere has had to drop deeper than usual for the possession-starved hosts, leaving Callum Wilson isolated up front.

As you can see from the average positions in the first half, Liverpool are playing like the home team with plenty more attacking intent. Bournemouth are just sitting in.

Liverpool have been dominant. 

Bournemouth have got a little better and have been trying to string a few passes together of their own.

Ake went over far too easily for the penalty claim. It was really good decision from the referee. 

But as much as Bournemouth have been poor, let's give Liverpool some credit. Jurgen Klopp's side have been on the front foot, playing with purpose and getting the rewards.

Almost 60% of possession for the visitors, with most of the play in the Bournemouth half. And two shots have led to two goals. With plenty of thanks to Artur Boruc...

Mark: Can Bournemouth keep playing Wilshere in no.10 role? No goals or assists yet, his movement doesn't get him involved much there

Tim in Marlow: So far, Jack Wilshere has hardly had a touch. Granted, Liverpool are outstanding - but if Wilshere is as good as everyone in the media seems to think, he ought to be able to impose himself just a tiny bit more than this.

Alex J Rogerson: That definitely should have been a penalty to Bournemouth. Look at Firmino's face, he knows he made contact

Hope that Bournemouth dressing room is soundproof. Even the usually mild-mannered Eddie Howe must be tempted to get the 'hairdryer' out.

No shots, not much possession, not much hope. Perhaps they are being put off by Liverpool's luminous green kit.
