There's something in that goalmouth! A buried voodoo doll at the Anfield Road End or something, as Liverpool level after a massive howler from Darren Randolph! That's the worst piece of keeping of the day, for sure.

Sadio Mane crosses from the left, a regulation catch for Randolph but he somehow shells it right at the feet of Divock Origi, who is so surprised he almost misses an open goal but scores off the post.

Adam Lallana could send Nathaniel Clyne in on goal as Liverpool swamp the West Ham backline right from the get go but his pass is just underhit and it's cleared. Are we expecting a Liverpool onslaught?

Gareth Williams: Spotted Bruce Grobbelaar in the crowd is it too late to sign him for 2nd half?!

Abbasali G: Karius is a nightmare, Klopp bought him because of his performance in the Bundesliga, but he has not proved it.

Daniel Graver: can't be too harsh on Karius remember when De Gea first came and see the stick he got... He ain't too bad now is he?

  8. Lawro predicted this...published at 17:28 Greenwich Mean Time 11 December 2016

    Liverpool 1-2 West Ham

What did mystic Mark Lawrenson have to say about Liverpool's goalkeeping dilemma before this game?On Thursday he told us: "The only fly in the ointment for Reds' boss Jurgen Klopp is their goalkeeper situation.

"Klopp has stuck his neck out with Loris Karius and said you are my number one and I just wonder now if he is privately thinking 'what do I do now?' because Simon Mignolet is a better goalkeeper, no question.

"I think Klopp has to bring Mignolet back on Sunday and forget about how Karius might lose confidence if he is dropped. He might improve but at the moment he is just not good enough - we saw that against the Cherries.

"It might not appear to be a factor against a struggling West Ham team, especially because Liverpool have already blown a few teams apart at Anfield this season, but we see plenty of surprise results in the Premier League and Klopp will not want to risk another one."

    Kevin Kilbane
Former Everton and Sunderland winger on BBC Radio 5 live

It has been an incredible half, Liverpool starting so well and then all of a sudden they stopped playing and it went very flat here at Anfield. West Ham gained some momentum from that.

You have to credit West Ham because they were far too passive for the first goal but have got their way back into the match. They have got Michail Antonio into the game.

It's a brilliant first half for West Ham after going behind so early in the game.

  12. 'I am dedicating the win to Marouane'published at 17:22 Greenwich Mean Time 11 December 2016

    Man Utd 1-0 Tottenham

    Manchester United

Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho with a bit of a cryptic message when he spoke to the television cameras afterwards as he dedicated the win to Marouane Fellaini.

The Belgium midfielder, who gave away a late penalty in the Red Devils' 1-1 draw with Everton last weekend, was jeered by some United fans while he warmed up as a substitute on the touchline at Old Trafford.

"I want to dedicate the victory to Marouane Fellaini," Mourinho said. "I am dedicating the win to Marouane because it was him involved with the loss of two points in the last match."

Mourinho was then asked about the crowd and added: "They can do what they want, they are phenomenal with us. I have to thank everything they give us when sometimes we did not give them so much."

  13. 'United were more clinical than us'published at 17:21 Greenwich Mean Time 11 December 2016

    Man Utd 1-0 Tottenham

    Tottenham Hotspur

Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino: "It was a competitive game and a good performance. It's always difficult to play at Old Trafford. We created chances but didn't score and they scored when they had the opportunity.

"I think with the chances we had and they have it's equal but they were clinical. Like before I said it was an even competitive game. We had one clear chance that maybe chance the way of the game. Now it's about looking forward.

"I think we are in a position we want to improve but you know we need to be positive and try to keep going."

  14. 'I'm confident we will close the gap'published at 17:20 Greenwich Mean Time 11 December 2016

Manchester United striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic speaking to BBC Sport: "We’re super happy.

"We got the three points today which we've deserved in many games. I think we controlled the game. It’s the three points that counts.

"We have been disappointed absolutely. The team has worked hard and kept their heads up. I’m confident we will close that gap on the teams above us.

"Every day that goes we get better. We get to know each other. Everything is new, especially for me- the more we know each other the stronger we get."

James Ballantyne: Have #lfc, external had a good centre back pairing and keeper all at the same time since 1990?

Stephen James: Klopp has to stick with Karius. His signing and he's only young. You get the feeling he wouldn't come back if dropped.

    Liverpool 1-2 West Ham

I don't think either West Ham goal was a massive clanger from Loris Karius but both were questionable. And when your position is under threat then the sum of both cannot be doing you any favours. Jurgen Klopp looks livid on the touchline. His side were 1-0 up after five minutes, remember.
