Pogba does brilliantly. It was a great turn and he ran straight at the back four.

Ibrahimovic still had awful lot to do, it was a wonderful finish.

It was a fantastic bit of play from Pogba and a great finish from Ibrahimovic.

Richard: What a goal. That finish, on his weak foot, from that angle, was pure Zlatan.

James Purkis: Zlatan: Too old. Too slow. Never performs versus English teams, etc, etc.

Harry Crowe: Alan Pardew must be livid. Shocking defending from Palace

Frustrating night? Forget it. United surely have the points in the bag as Zlatan Ibrahimovic shows amazing composure to score from an angle. Jose Mourinho is out of his seat and celebrating.

I don't think the position Rooney was playing was his position.

He is not a wide player, he needs to play off Ibrahimovic.

But, having said that, I thought he was quite prominent in the last 15 or 20 minutes and I am little surprised he was chosen to come off.

No record-equalling goal for Wayne Rooney. He is replaced by Marcus Rashford.

  8. Tough night for referee Pawsonpublished at 21:38 Greenwich Mean Time 14 December 2016

    Phil McNulty
BBC Sport chief football writer at Selhurst Park

Referee Craig Pawson has managed to anger the players and fans of both Crystal Palace and Manchester United with his decisions.

We've now reached the point where almost every decision is being contested. It's not been a happy night for the official.

United's frustration is growing because they were in comfortable control until James McArthur's equaliser.

Jesse Lingard gets a shot away inside the Palace area but Wayne Hennessey is equal to it. It looks like another frustrating night for United.

Around 15 minutes remaining. Palace are right back in this but Jose Mourinho will be furious with the decisions which have gone against his team.

That is a stone wall penalty.

    It was hand ball 100%.

Huge controversy. Joe Ledley clearly handles inside the Palace area but, despite United's complaints, Craig Pawson does not award a penalty.

Moments later Juan Mata has the ball in the Palace net but it is ruled out for offside. Replays suggest it was a goal.

This game has come alive. Wayne Rooney almost restores United's lead with a stinging shot which Wayne Hennessey does well to keep out.

That would not have looked out of place in a Barcelona goal and you don't say that about Damien Delaney very often.

That was mesmeric. It was a fantastic goal.

I imagine that will be up there with goal of the season.

    That has changed the atmosphere.

Astonishing. Palace have posed little threat to David de Gea's goal but they are back on level terms after James McArthur's composed finish following a brilliant piece of skill by Damien Delaney. Selhurst Park has found its voice.

That is the difference a really good keeper can make to a side. It was a really fantastic save from David de Gea.

    That's more like it!

Crystal Palace earn their first corner of the match as David de Gea is forced into a wonderful finger-tip save by James McArthur's stinging shot.

Mike Brown in Darlington: Handball? Inconclusive. Off-side? It came off the Palace player.

A free-kick by Zlatan Ibrahimovic about 30 yards out. Here he comes...it ends up closer to the corner flag than the net. This is a shocker of a game.
