    Chelsea 2-0 Bournemouth

More from Chelsea, and more from Eden Hazard, who is finding a lot of space out on the left. He cuts inside but cannot find a finish, seeing his shot slice away from goal and from his team-mate Pedro, who was arriving at the far post.

    Chelsea 2-0 Bournemouth

Chelsea come forward again, and look menacing again. The ball comes over to Marcos Alonso on the right of the box but he cannot make a decent connection and his first-time effort is well off target.

Bournemouth striker Joshua King has not had much change out of David Luiz so far today. He gets the better of him here, on the edge of Chelsea'a area, but Gary Cahill is in the right place to cover.

    Chelsea v Bournemouth (15:00 GMT)

A picture to warm hearts on Boxing Day.

Antonio Conte and his senior players took time off from Chelsea's Premier League title chase to give the club's under-8s a Christmas present to remember.

    Good to see.

You can't win the league at Christmas. But you can open up a nine-point gap. And Chelsea are on the way to doing exactly that.

    Chelsea 1-0 Bournemouth

I'm never normally a fan of the short corner but Chelsea worked one especially well for their goal. Cesc Fabregas (4) took it short and then quickly found himself on the edge of the area to find goalscorer Pedro (11) with a lovely little pass through. Deadlock, broken.

    Chelsea 1-0 Bournemouth

Adam Smith steps up... and fires the ball straight into the wall. Chelsea clear their lines not once, not twice, but three times and the one minute of added time at the end of the first half is almost up...

    Chelsea 1-0 Bournemouth

Chelsea are not happy here, as referee Mike Jones plays an advantage after Gary Cahill fells Jack Wilshere on the edge of the area, then calls play back after the Cherries fire the ball over the bar seconds later.

The end result is free-kick for the visitors, in a pretty promising position...

Bournemouth have done themselves real credit in this first half - Jack Wilshire pulling the strings - but Eden Hazard has been outstanding for Chelsea which has made the difference.

    Chelsea 1-0 Bournemouth

Bournemouth are seeing plenty of the ball, but they have to be careful because Chelsea are constantly looking to pounce on the counter-attack.

The Cherries had half-a-shout for a penalty on their last attack, when Adam Smith ran into Nemanja Matic inside the area. Referee Mike Jones felt it was an accidental collision, however, and the replays I've seen back that up - hard to blame Matic there.

Cesc Fabregas takes the free-kick and curls it over the wall... but sees the ball skim the bar and land on top of the net. Close, but not close enough. A great effort, mind.

Eden Hazard is in the kind of mood where he is a real handful. He swivels away from Simon Francis on the edge of the Bournemouth box and is sent sprawling by the Cherries defender. That's a Blues free-kick, in a dangerous area...

    Chelsea 1-0 Bournemouth

This game has really got going now. Bournemouth again go close to an equaliser when Nemanja Matic heads away a free-kick but only as far as Jack Wilshere, who sees his volley deflected wide by Cesar Azpilicueta's outstretched foot.

Ok, this is pretty good. It wouldn't have counted, because the whistle had gone but Eden Hazard just tried his luck with a rabona from the edge of the area after a quick Chelsea break looked like it had petered out. Artur Boruc makes the save in any case, but for a non-goal when play had stopped, it was up there.
