The reaction from Raheem Sterling right from the start there was perfect.

Didn't see enough of him in the first half for me but expect to see much more of him now.

Big shouts for handball as Robert Snodgrass' chipped cross is blocked by Gael Clichy, arms raised. There was some contact with the arm but it would have been a harsh spot-kick to give.

The offside flag spares Raheem Sterling's blushes. He is just ahead of the last defender prior to completely missing Kevin de Bruyne's cross with just the keeper to beat.

Hull respond with an attack of their own, which ends with a block to prevent Sam Clucas' back-post strike finding the target.

Raheem Sterling twists and turns and chips a cross over David Marshall and to the far part of the box, which is populated only by Hull players. It makes for a simple clearance.

Andy Knowles: Yet more lethargic possession based football that we have seen last 18 mts. Hull never had an easier half.

Not the most exciting but I quite like the technical side of this game. Hull are doing exactly what they want to be doing - just holding Man City at bay.

Having said that, fatigue and Pep Guardiola's changes have to be taken into account.

Man City are still favourites to win this match but it's definitely in the balance.

That is a lot of Man City possession to register just three shots on target.

Aaron Theaker: If Aguero wasn't suspended It would be game over already. Not impressed with city so far

Jeet Padaruth: Quite apparent that City players had a few drinks to celebrate last night! Very poor performance.

Ralph Brooker: Come on Hull City, one last prezzie! ;-)

Nolito is trying to find a way into the game. He's struggling, though. His high boot in his own half gives Hull a free-kick, which Robert Snodgrass chips in but only on to a Man City head.

Some fine play in and around the box wins City another corner as Nolito's attempted low cross for David Silva is cut out. The corner is well delivered but hits space in the middle of the box and skips out of play.

This is a Hull side who are really going for it now. This is more positive than I - well, than anyone has seen in a while.

All it takes is for a manager to say to his players, "Go on, go for it. I believe in you."

What a difference that can make to a team.

    Hull 0-0 Man City

Man City's best chances of breaking Hull down is on the break after Hull have ventured forward. They win a corner through that very method. From the set-piece a back-heel from Fernandinho finds Nolito but his curling effort is way off target.

Tom Huddlestone has made a lot of challenges in this match. He's worked hard but they have often been last ditch tackles.

You can see why he picks up the odd yellow card here and there, because he isn't lightning quick so he misjudges every now and again.
