    At the top of the table, Scunthorpe could only muster a draw against Oxford United and Sheffield United fell foul of a late Charlton equaliser at The Valley to fall behind Bolton into third.

    Down at the bottom, Bury threw away a 2-0 lead against Milwall to lose 3-2 and for the 10th game on the bounce in the league, while Coventry City lost to MK Dons.

    And Jay O'Shea's brace was enough for struggling Chesterfield to record a vital 3-2 win against Bristol Rovers.
