In League One, leaders Scunthorpe welcome Oxford United to Glanford Park and second-placed Sheffield United visit Charlton who appointed Karl Robinson as boss this week. The former MK Dons manager will not be in charge until Monday.

Managerless Bury will be looking to avoid a 10th straight league defeat as they host Millwall, while struggling Coventry and MK Dons meet at the Ricoh Arena.

Meanwhile, Oldham against Peterborough has been postponed because of a frozen pitch - the only EFL casualty of this chilly November Saturday.

Norwich boss Alex Neil was given public backing by chairman Ed Balls earlier this week.

The Canaries are currently on a six-match winless run that has seen them drop down to sixth in the Championship.

Balls, who has been faring far better on BBC One's Strictly Come Dancing, told BBC Radio Norfolk: "He knows he's got the backing of the board.

"We've worked with him very closely for a couple of years, we know his quality, we know his integrity and determination and we know he can do it."

Despite his chairman's kind words, Neil will probably think he can do without a trip to in-form Derby this afternoon.

It's no wonder Newcastle boss Rafael Benitez is looking up.

You have to go back to 24 September for the last time Newcastle United failed to win a match and the Championship leaders are already nine points clear of third-placed Reading.

The Magpies are on a nine-match winning streak in all competitions and have an EFL Cup quarter-final against Hull City in midweek to look forward to.

In their way today are Blackburn Rovers. Owen Coyle's men are third from bottom in the Championship and have one away win all season...

Good afternoon and welcome to live text coverage of today's EFL action.
