Bakary Sako - who was linked with a £4m move to Birmingham this afternoon - comes on for Palace in place of Andros Townsend. Sam Allardyce needs inspiration from somewhere.

  2. goal

    Peter Crouch (49 mins)

We do have another goal, and it's more shocking defending from Watford. Charlie Adam sends in a fine ball from the left but Sebastian Prodl totally misses his clearance, it hits Peter Crouch somewhere around his thigh and flies into the net.

  3. Postpublished at 21:08 Greenwich Mean Time 3 January 2017

    Bournemouth 3-0 Arsenal

Arsene Wenger's pre-match comments were all about the fixture congestion and a lack of recovery time. Guess what he'll be talking about again shortly?

  4. Postpublished at 21:07 Greenwich Mean Time 3 January 2017

    Stoke 1-0 Watford

And now at the other end Jon Walters miscues a volley and it squirts across the face of goal. Will we see more goals in the second half?

Much better from Watford already as Abdoulaye Doucoure drives in a shot from wide on the left and Lee Grant has to make a flying save!

'We want four! We want four! We want four! We want four! We want four! We want four!'

That's the chant from the stands and you wouldn't bet against it as Arsenal's collective heads have gone here. Petr Cech has to push away a free-kick from Junior Stanislas.

    Bournemouth 3-0 Arsenal

    Mark Mitchener

It was Scottish winger Ryan Fraser's introduction that sparked Bournemouth's sensational comeback against Liverpool last month, and the "Wee Man" is on fire again tonight, having won the penalty earlier and now used all of his 5ft 4ins frame to shrug off Hector Bellerin and fire the Cherries into an unfathomable 3-0 lead.

The pace of Fraser and Callum Wilson is wreaking havoc here.

  8. KICK-OFFpublished at 21:04 Greenwich Mean Time 3 January 2017

    Stoke 1-0 Watford

Odion Ighalo is on for Watford in place of Valon Behrami. And we play again.

    Steve Claridge
Ex-Leicester striker on BBC Radio 5 Live

That sums Arsenal up. It was a weak and poor challenge and dreadful play by Hector Bellerin again. Ryan Fraser might have caught Bellerin but he just wanted it more - and then he nutmegs keeper Petr Cech.

  10. KICK-OFFpublished at 21:03 Greenwich Mean Time 3 January 2017

    Crystal Palace 0-1 Swansea

And we are back under way.

  11. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 21:03 Greenwich Mean Time 3 January 2017

    Crystal Palace 0-1 Swansea

Palace have to make a change - as Fraizer Campbell replaces Christian Benteke. The big man injured his shoulder.

  12. goal

    Ryan Fraser (58 mins)

Well that should be that, and it rather sums up Arsenal's display. Hector Bellerin was at fault for the opener and he's at fault again, too weak as Ryan Fraser muscles him off the ball on the left, before cutting in and scoring through the legs of Petr Cech from an improbable angle.

    Bournemouth 2-0 Arsenal

    Mark Mitchener

Olivier Giroud may be the Scorpion King, but he has cut a frustrated figure for much of the game, while Alexis Sanchez, who is having to drop deep to help win possession, has just let loose a verbal volley at team-mate Aaron Ramsey.

For those of you keeping track of Steve Cook's Premier League-leading headed clearances [see 20:20], he's even managed one from a sitting position this half, while he stayed on his feet to dispossess Ramsey after the Wales midfielder had surged into the area.

  14. DISALLOWED GOALpublished at 20:59 Greenwich Mean Time 3 January 2017

    Bournemouth 2-0 Arsenal

    Referee Michael OliverImage source, Reuters

Bournemouth think they have a third as Harry Arter slams a shot in from the edge of the area, it's a dreamy connection, but the ball goes in off the arms of Callum Wilson who was trying to get out of the way of it. Correct call and Arsenal live on.

Since half-time Arsenal have had all of the ball but created the square root of not a lot. Bournemouth had all 11 men within touching distance of the penalty spot for a moment there though. You can't just sit back and wait.

  16. Hornets forced to defendpublished at 20:56 Greenwich Mean Time 3 January 2017

    Stoke 1-0 Watford

Stoke left it late in the half to break the deadlock, but it had been coming.

Watford have very much set up to hit the Potters on the break and have been forced back into their own half by the hosts, as shown by the average position graphic below.

Strong running from Marko Arnautovic and Jon Walters on either flank for Mark Hughes' side had the Hornets scrambling, before Ryan Shawcross finally netted from Charlie Adam's corner.

    Bournemouth 2-0 Arsenal

Again, it's a touch too much from an Arsenal perspective as Aaron Ramsey weaves past a couple of players, gets into the area but can't squeeze a shot off before he is tackled.

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlian is trying to make things happen for Arsenal and his cross is flicked on and wide by Olivier Giroud. The Frenchman didn't get hold of that one at all.
