    Bournemouth 2-0 Arsenal

There is one of Arsenal's big players as Alexis Sanchez cuts in from the left, makes it into the area but then he can't get a cross away and the hosts are able to clear.

  2. Postpublished at 20:51 Greenwich Mean Time 3 January 2017

    Crystal Palace 0-1 Swansea

    BBC Radio London

Former Charlton defender Steve Brown: "It has been a poor, frustrating 45 minutes for Crystal Palace. Swansea have been miles better, they have been dominant.

"What is making the Palace fans so frustrated is too many sideways passes and not enough attacking play."

    Bournemouth 2-0 Arsenal

    Steve Claridge
Ex-Leicester striker on BBC Radio 5 Live

The big players have to get Arsenal back into the game. The body language hasn't been convincing and we need to see a bit more spark to go and get something from this game.

Stoke needed that. Charlie Adam's corner falls at the near post and Ryan Shawcross meets it on the bounce to sweep home left-footed.

  6. KICK-OFFpublished at 20:48 Greenwich Mean Time 3 January 2017

    Bournemouth 2-0 Arsenal

And we are back in play at Bournemouth. What can Arsenal do about this then?

  7. HALF-TIMEpublished at 20:48 Greenwich Mean Time 3 January 2017

    Crystal Palace 0-1 Swansea

Boos rain down from the stands. Palace very bad, Swansea good. As it stands Paul Clement will take charge of training for the first time tomorrow with his side off the bottom and just a point behind Crystal Palace...

  8. Postpublished at 20:46 Greenwich Mean Time 3 January 2017

    Crystal Palace 0-1 Swansea

    BBC Radio London

Former Charlton defender Steve Brown on Swansea's goal: "In your own penalty area you cannot have an opposition centre-half with no-one within three yards of him."

  9. Postpublished at 20:44 Greenwich Mean Time 3 January 2017

    Crystal Palace 0-1 Swansea

Sam Allardyce has sunk even further into his racer driver's seat after that opener. His side have been poor so far tonight and he needs a big change in fortunes from them in the second half.

    Alfie Mawson (42 mins)

Thoroughly deserved. Swansea have been far, far better than Palace so far and take the lead when another delicious Gylfi Sigurdsson free-kick is headed in by Alfie Mawson for his first Premier League goal.

Just a little eyebrows on it, Wayne Hennessey did not move.

    Crystal Palace 0-0 Swansea

It has been a disappointing day for Christian Benteke so far.

He has only touched the ball once in the opposition penalty area in the opening 40 minutes and that came before he went to ground under a challenge from Lukasz Fabianski.

    Stoke 0-0 Watford

Some very bad football on display at times at the Bet365. Watford have the ball on the left, play two one-twos while travelling 25 yards back towards their own goal and then pass it straight out of play.

    HT: Bournemouth 2-0 Arsenal

    Mark Mitchener
    BBC Sport at Vitality Stadium

The players walk off to huge cheers (home fans) and a round of boos (away fans) to a half-time scoreline Cherries fans can surely only have dreamed about.

Among Arsene Wenger's biggest concerns will be the way Bournemouth have opened up his side time and again. Even without their regular attacking midfield locksmith, a certain Jack Wilshere.

  15. 'Shambolic at times'published at 20:36 Greenwich Mean Time 3 January 2017

    Bournemouth 2-0 Arsenal

    Steve Claridge
Ex-Leicester striker on BBC Radio 5 Live

Bournemouth have been very good and Arsenal have been distinctly average. It's been shambolic at times from Arsenal.

If it was me I would want to stick Alexis Sanchez up there with Olivier Giroud. They could get done three or four or get back into it. On the basis of the first half they are never getting back into the game.

Not from minute one have they looked up for this game.

Don't forget that the games at Palace and Stoke are 15 minutes behind Bournemouth. Christian Benteke wants some treatment on his shoulder after that tumble.

Fourth official Mike Dean - who could do without it - gets an earful from Big Sam.

  17. HALF-TIMEpublished at 20:34 Greenwich Mean Time 3 January 2017

    Bournemouth 2-0 Arsenal

An excellent half from Bournemouth. A woeful effort from Arsenal.

  18. PENALTY APPEALpublished at 20:34 Greenwich Mean Time 3 January 2017

Sunday League stuff! Wayne Hennessey has the ball in his hands, drop-kicks it 65 yards down the pitch, right down the middle.

Two Swansea players let it bounce, Christian Benteke comes alive and gets there before Lukasz Fabianski, he toes it over the keper and then goes down looking for a penalty.

    No contact.

    But some dreadful defending!

  19. CLOSE!published at 20:32 Greenwich Mean Time 3 January 2017

    Bournemouth 2-0 Arsenal

Bournemouth still chasing a third, and they are close as Junior Stanislas drags a shot just wide from 20 yards. Arsenal are nowhere.

  20. GREAT SAVE!published at 20:31 Greenwich Mean Time 3 January 2017

Marko Arnautovic in actionImage source, Getty Images

Classic Marko Arnautovic. He takes the ball on his chest on halfway, shrugs off one man, does another for pace and beats a third with a bit of skill - and then falls over. If his end product was any better...

Peter Crouch then has a header well saved!
