    Borussia Monchengladbach 1-1 Celtic

So Celtic's heart remains beating in this season's Champions League - only just - after Moussa Dembele's penalty secured a 1-1 draw against Borussia Monchengladbach in Germany.

The Scottish champions had a golden opportunity three minutes from time to snatch all three points, but Callum McGregor fired wide.

Realistically, Celtic's hopes of reaching the last 16 are all but over. However, last night's draw keeps them in the hunt for a third place finish in Group C which would take them into the Europa League after Christmas.
