    Liverpool 2-0 Leeds

    In case you were wondering...

The ten who played in the Premier League for Liverpool and Leeds are:

Nick Barmby, Scott Carson, Robbie Fowler, Robbie Keane, Harry Kewell, Dominic Matteo, Gary McAllister, James Milner, Jermaine Pennant and Ian Rush.

Struggled with Carson, to be honest.

As for Hull, two more games in January is not good for their Premier League survival hopes. They have the smallest squad in the Premier League, they have no centre forwards left, and have Mbokani out for three games for an absolute nonsense.

  3. 'Nightmare scenario for Newcastle'published at 22:30 Greenwich Mean Time 29 November 2016

Newcastle were the better side, they had so many opportunities and they have blown it. It is almost the nightmare scenario for Rafael Benitez, as they were taking this cup very seriously. But this is a decent team that is growing and getting better.

Both managers Mike Phelan and Rafa Benitez have their troops gathered in a circle on the pitch.

Benitez taps Jonjo Shelvey on the shoulder and notes his name down on a piece of paper.

He will be one of the penalty takers then.

Newcastle have controlled much of this game, but their shooting has been awful. They have maybe had a dozen shots that should have been on target. But I see that they have given the Hull goalkeeper Jakupovic the man of the match award - do you think they are trying to give him a boost before penalties?!
