Hull 0-0 Newcastle
Dieumerci Mbokani has the ball in a decent position and tries to thread a pass to a team-mate. It drifts out of play. It sums Hull's first half performance up perfectly.

From one side to the other.
Liverpool striker Divock Origi shows his pace by bursting clear deep into the Leeds half, but sub Kalvin Phillips does his defensive work well by tracking and winning the ball back for his side.
Two minutes to half time, Leeds will be hoping to hold out.

It is a good job that move didn't lead to a goal because that was a shocking decision by the assistant referee. Garry Monk was complaining, and even Jurgen Klopp shook his head to intimate it was at least a yard in his own half.
Liverpool 0-0 Leeds
Leeds legend Norman Hunter in the stands at Anfield.
He'll be enjoying this performance for the men in white, who are biting at the legs of Liverpool at every opportunity.
Yum yum.

This is one of the most one-sided games I have seen this season. It's the team from the Championship who are doing all the running. If there is one positive for Hull boss Mike Phelan it is that there is no height up front for Newcastle.

These Liverpool players haven't played a lot together, but sometime you can get away with that if the team you are playing aren't doing well. But this is a Leeds side that is doing very well in the Championship.
Liverpool 0-0 Leeds
Leeds man Kemar Roofe is adjudged to offside by the referee's assistant...
...despite running onto the ball from inside his own half.
That should be a sackable offence for the man with the flag.
Liverpool 0-0 Leeds
Leeds are not really afraid to get stuck in and are letting their opponents know they won't be pushed over here today.
This time Gaetano Berardi is in strong on Emre Can, who doesn't want to know about the 50-50 challenge.
Hull 0-0 Newcastle
Isaac Hayden, who played for Hull on loan last season, wins possession from David Meyler before driving at goal. Hayden takes a quick glance up before unleashing..it's narrowly wide.
Liverpool 0-0 Leeds
Leeds full-back Charlie Taylor has been linked with a move to the top flight and you can see why.
The youngster has dealt with Sadio Mane brilliantly thus far, keeping the Senegal man quiet.

Johnny Magrinho: Struggling to see why Moreno is anywhere near this Liverpool team. He's a woeful defender & offers little going forward either.
Andrew Neil: Is it just me or have nufc been pretty inefficient in front of goal most of the season? Need lots of chances to score normally.

What are Leeds doing at the back??
It's a right old mix-up as Kalvin Phillips' pass is left by Kyle Bartley.
With goalkeeper Marco Silvestri slow to come off his line, Emre Can nips in to poke a shot narrowly wide of goal.

It's utter Newcastle domination. Jonjo Shelvey is dominating the midfield. Hull can't get a look in.

Ah, here's James Milner. The Leeds-born Liverpool midfielder warms up for the first time, right in front of the away hordes.
"You're Leeds and you know you are!" they sing. He grins.
Milner played 54 times for his boyhood club as teenager between 2002 and 2004 remember.

On the future coaching plans of former Liverpool and England captain Steven Gerrard, a spectator at Anfield tonight: "He needs to start lower down the food chain, as it would be a big gamble to start at a big club, for him and for the club that employed him."
Liverpool 0-0 Leeds
Leeds opting for route one from a throw-in as Gaetano Berardi lobs a ball into the box and earn a corner as Souleymane Doukara outmuscles Alberto Moreno.
The corner is headed away by Ragnar Klavan.

Newcastle are in control of this and I don't just mean in terms of chances created. They're also playing the better football.

Garry Monk whistles down the touchline to Kalvin Phillips. "Get stripped off son, you're coming on," seems to be the gist after that knock for Eunan O'Kane.
Irish midfielder O'Kane doesn't seem too affected though, walking off before saying to Monk - probably - that he feels he could have carried on.
Hull 0-0 Newcastle
The chances keep coming for Newcastle.
Isaac Hayden feeds Matt Ritchie, whose curling strike from the edge of the box flies just over.
The Magpies are well in control of this but can't get the breakthrough.
Liverpool 0-0 Leeds
Leeds are forced into an early change.
Eunan O'Kane is struggling with a problem and has to leave the pitch, on comes Kalvin Phillips.
