There was a stage when it looked like a Bayern equaliser was coming, but Dortmund seem to have weathered that storm. They are having plenty of the ball now.

Dortmund are starting to shut up shop as full-back Erik Durm, making his first appearance of the season following injury, replaces winger Andre Schurrle.

Douglas Costa curls one over for Bayern after cutting in from the right. It's hard to call, this game. A long way to go yet.

Adrian Ramos is clattered by Jerome Boateng in an aerial challenge. Free-kick to Dortmund, but Marc Bartra just kicks it straight to a red jersey. Awful.

So close to a Bayern equaliser and it takes everyone by surprise. Xabi Alonso curls in a shot from outside the box which people expects to go wide. Keeper Roman Burki doesn't move. And he's pretty relieved to see the ball come back off the crossbar.

Bayern make an attacking change - winger Douglas Costa comes on for Joshua Kimmich.

It's not quite attack v defence at the moment but it's not far off. Xabi Alonso finds Robert Lewandowski in space but the Polish striker's control goes away from him.

Meanwhile Bayern keeper Manuel Neuer comes flying out of his box and takes a few touches before clearing. Textbook Neuer.

Franck Ribery thinks he has levelled for Bayern on his return after eight matches out. The French winger flicks home Thomas Muller's cross but he was offside. It's rightly disallowed.

It's still a bit end-to-end, although it's settled down a bit after that start to the half.

Bayern are just passing the ball around the final third at the moment.

This is like a basketball match. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang starts the move and plays it out left to Marcel Schmelzer. The left-back puts a cross in which Aubameyang gets on the end of to head over.  

And his opposite number Robert Lewandowski has a chance at the other end but Roman Burki keeps out the Pole's header.
