    Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers

"It should be an unbelievable atmosphere, but they are a team that has played in atmospheres throughout the world, so they're used to dealing with that pressure.

"We have to play how we're best playing, which is really aggressive and on the front foot, having the tactical plan in order to be really aggressive in the game.

"We have to fight and ensure that we do everything we can to try to stop them - but it's not easy."

    Celtic v Barcelona (19:45)

Barcelona head coach Luis Enrique never won the Europe's top prize as a player but broke his duck in the competition 17 months ago by beating Juventus in the final.

His side will be among the favourites to win this season's competition but they need to secure passage to the last 16 first.

    Barcelona manager Luis Enrique

"We have to be ready for everything.

"It is good to score early in all games but Celtic need points so they will come out but again I say it will be different, it will be nothing like the game that we had before.

"The Camp Nou is not a reference, what will be a reference is the game against Manchester City."

Former Celtic duo Scott McDonald and Alan Stubbs join the BBC Sportsound commentary team tonight. It's a Champions League game at Celtic Park, so that means no online coverage, I'm afraid. You'll need to dig out a radio and tune into 810 MW.

  18. Barcelona can be beatenpublished at 19:18 Greenwich Mean Time 23 November 2016

    Celtic v Barcelona (19:45)

    Tom English
BBC Sport Scotland at Celtic Park

Mauricio Pellegrino, manager of newly-promoted Alaves, brought his team to Camp Nou in September and plotted a sensational 2-1 victory. He said afterwards that the first job when trying to beat Barca is convincing yourself that you're good enough to do it. When facing Barca, lots of teams are beaten before they even leave the dressing room.

Pellegrino played 5-4-1 and limited Barca to two shots on target. It can be done. His players worked and worked and worked to close space down. They lived in the faces of their glamorous opponents all night long. And they had a bit of luck.

That's what Celtic need tonight. Intensity, aggression, discipline, concentration, ruthlessness if they get a chance to score. A massive job but where there's belief there is hope. The question - or one of them - is do Celtic really and truly believe?

  19. Bring the noisepublished at 19:15 Greenwich Mean Time 23 November 2016

    Celtic v Barcelona (19:45)

Celtic responded very well to that chastening defeat in Barcelona, producing a stirring display against Manchester City for a 3-3 draw in Glasgow.

The racket inside the stadium was off the charts that night!

However, it was a lot quieter when Borussia Monchengladbach turned up and outplayed Celtic a few weeks later.

What kind of decibel levels will we reach this evening?

  20. Brown urges Celtic to be bravepublished at 19:12 Greenwich Mean Time 23 November 2016

    Celtic captain Scott Brown

"It's all about how we can control our patience and relax and try to keep the ball the best we can because that is their game and that is what we want to try and get up to. The way the gaffer wants us to play as well, it's pretty much based on the Barcelona way.

"We know we can play, well we just need to be patient with the ball and be brave as well. It is bravery on the ball. They are going press us up the park, which is what we plan to do as well. We have to try pretty much, (when they) bring their game to us, you have to take it in tight situations with two or three players and be able to play one-twos around them.

"We just have to minimise them to as less chances and as less touches of the ball as we possibly can. We have got to believe in ourselves and attack them when we can and hopefully create a few chances here and there."
