The Barcelona stars were all hoods and snoods during last night's training session at Celtic Park and it's MUCH, MUCH colder tonight, with the temperature around -2C.

With qualification for the last 16 almost in the bag, will they fancy it?

One thing is for sure, Celtic captain Scott Brown will be in short sleeves and I'll eat my keyboard if he's wearing gloves...

    Celtic v Barcelona (19:45)

There was a light-hearted moment in yesterday's press conference at Celtic Park when a Spanish journalist asked Brendan Rodgers if the legend of the Loch Ness monster was more believable than the legend of Lionel Messi.

The Celtic boss laughed as he said: "That's the worst question I've probably been asked. I don't really know so much about the Loch Ness monster, but I know Lionel Messi is a brilliant player."

  6. 'Celtic have learned from 7-0 drubbing'published at 18:48 Greenwich Mean Time 23 November 2016

    Celtic v Barcelona (19:45)

Addressing the 7-0 mauling in Spain at yesterday's media conference, Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers believes his players learned a valuable lesson at the Nou Camp and the experience will be a positive influence for this evening.

"We clearly showed them too much respect on the field," said Rodgers.

"There were many different aspects of the game we learned from, showing that courage to get on the ball, having that bravery, having respect for the opponent, but not necessarily within the game.

"The scoreline was bitterly disappointing, but the players have shown they've learned from it; we're playing them at home, so it's a real good measure and our mentality will change.

"The players have shown from that game that they've changed. It will be tough for us, of course, against a top-class team with arguably the best front three you could say has played for Barcelona, but I would hope it would be a different performance from us."

  7. Nou Camp nightmare for Celticpublished at 18:46 Greenwich Mean Time 23 November 2016

    Celtic v Barcelona (19:45)

Before we go any further, we need to address what happened when the Scottish champions went to the Nou Camp in September, so it might be best if Celtic fans look away for a few minutes.

Group C opened with a crushing 7-0 defeat, setting an unwanted European record for Celtic.

Lionel Messi scored a hat-trick and Luis Suarez bagged two. Neymar and Andres Iniesta also got in on the act.

  8. Big night for Celtic's Simunovicpublished at 18:41 Greenwich Mean Time 23 November 2016

    Celtic v Barcelona (19:45)

Celtic central defender Jozo Simunovic starts his first Champions League group stage match and Callum McGregor is preferred to James Forrest in midfield.

Tom Rogic and Emilio Izaguirre return after being rested for Friday's 1-0 win at Kilmarnock.

As expected, Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez return for Barcelona. The star forwards missed Saturday's surprise 0-0 draw at home to Malaga through illness and suspension, respectively.

Regular captain and midfield maestro Andres Iniesta is missing through injury.

  10. Tall order for Celticpublished at 18:32 Greenwich Mean Time 23 November 2016

    Celtic v Barcelona (19:45)

Celtic are running out of games as they scrap to stay in Europe beyond Christmas.

Brendan Rodgers' men need to make up three points on Borussia Monchengladbach in Group C to reach the Europa League and they have two matches to do it, starting with Barcelona tonight before a trip to Manchester City. It doesn't get much harder that that...
