  1. CLOSE!published at 21:26 Greenwich Mean Time 14 December 2016

    Stoke 0-0 Southampton

Got to score! Sofiane Boufal slides a pass into the path of Jay Rodriguez, just tap it in, but he can't sort his feet out and the ball goes dead behind.

Southampton have had a frustrating night since that early Stoke red card.

  2. goal

GOAL - Crystal Palace 1-1 Man Utdpublished at 21:23 Greenwich Mean Time 14 December 2016

    James McArthur (66 mins)

Who is the Premier League player least likely to do a fancy flick to set up a goal? A couple of minutes ago, I might have said Damien Delaney.

But what do I know? The 35-year-old Crystal Palace centre-back back-heels the ball through to James McArthur from the edge of the box, the Scot fires home and the Eagles are level.

Liverpool are moving into second place thanks to that third goal - goal difference and all that.

  4. 'Fantastic save'published at 21:22 Greenwich Mean Time 14 December 2016

    Crystal Palace 0-1 Man Utd

    Steve Claridge
Ex-Leicester striker at Selhurst Park, BBC Radio 5 live

That is the difference a really good keeper can make to a side. It was a really fantastic save from David de Gea.

  5. Rondon - the Venezuelan big Dunc?published at 21:22 Greenwich Mean Time 14 December 2016

    West Brom 3-0 Swansea

Salomon Rondon is only the second player to score a Premier League hat-trick of headers. Duncan Ferguson did it for Everton against Bolton in December 1997.

    Stoke 0-0 Southampton

Stoke-Southampton has seen a sending off but no goals, so far.

Ten-man Stoke are very much on the defensive, and have only had five touches in the box all match, compared to 24 for the visitors.

    Man City 1-0 Watford

Normally, Pep Guardiola is by far the most animated manager in the technical area at a Manchester City game.

But with Guardiola slightly subdued, Walter Mazzarri is giving him a good go.

Admittedly it tends to require communication from his staff to get his arms waving or fingers pointing but once he gets going he is pretty expressive.

He also nipped out for a smoke before the game judging by pictures on social media.

James McArthur almost levels for Crystal Palace but David de Gea's diving save keeps the Eagles out.

  9. goal

GOAL - Tottenham 2-0 Hullpublished at 21:19 Greenwich Mean Time 14 December 2016

    Christian Eriksen (63 mins)

He could not miss! Kyle Walker engages the hyper drive to skin his man down the right, barges Andrew Robertson out of the way and then picks out Christian Eriksen standing at the far post. The Dane could just let the ball hit him, he's so close.

  10. GREAT SAVE!published at 21:19 Greenwich Mean Time 14 December 2016

    Stoke 0-0 Southampton

10-man Stoke have dug in their auxiliary lines and set up some communications trenches. They're ready for a point and are withstanding all that Southampton have got. Ryan Bertrand lets fly from 22 yards, a really fine effort with bags of swerve but Lee Grant tips it clear.

    Salomon Rondon (63 mins)

Salomon Rondon has completed his West Brom hat-trick - and they've all been headers. The Venezuelan again meets a Chris Brunt cross and turns it past Lukasz Fabianski. This one was top corner.

Burnley have been much better in the second half, as Scott Arfield forces a low one-handed save from Darren Randolph with a 22-yard free-kick.

  14. GREAT SAVE!published at 21:17 Greenwich Mean Time 14 December 2016

    Tottenham 1-0 Hull

Jake Livermore is on a one-man mission to score against his former side, and that's the save of the night from Hugo Lloris! The former England man has one shot blocked, shoves Sam Clucas out of his way and fires in a left-footed effort which forces Lloris into a fine save with his ankle.

  16. HITS THE WOODWORKpublished at 21:16 Greenwich Mean Time 14 December 2016

    Man City 1-0 Watford

Raheem Sterling hits the crossbar for Manchester City. It would have been a great goal from the winger, who got the ball 45 yards out, danced around a few defenders and then had a rising effort from 18 yards.

    Tottenham 1-0 Hull

Spurs have not been at their best tonight, this season maybe? But they do go close to a second when Kyle Walker's shot is diverted away from the goalmouth by the head of Michael Dawson.

  18. Postpublished at 21:15 Greenwich Mean Time 14 December 2016

    Crystal Palace 0-1 Man Utd

Wayne Rooney looks in pain after being caught late by James McArthur. Manchester United send a few players out to warm up.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic drives the free-kick about 10 yards wide.

David Simpson: If Liverpool keep a clean sheet, Mignolet and Klavan almost definitely keep their place.

Salman Jeffer: Lallana and Origi might steal the headlines tonight but there's no doubt that Mane has been the most influential player tonight.

KoloKK: Adam Lallana... doff your hat. He's taken this game by the scruff of the neck.

    Phil McNulty
BBC Sport chief football writer at Selhurst Park

Selhurst Park is normally a bear pit but - baiting of referee Craig Pawson aside - it has been very low-key here.

In defence of what are normally very fervent fans, Palace's approach has been so passive that they have given their supporters nothing to get behind.
