One of the Premier League's most memorable incidents occurred when Crystal Palace and Manchester United met at Selhurst Park.

It was the scene of Eric Cantona's kung-fu kick at a Crystal Palace fan shortly after he had been sent off back in 1995.

Will there be any similar incidents when the teams meet again tonight?

You can still listen to BBC Radio 5 live's special show broadcast on the 20-year anniversary of the incident which looks back with the help of former players, Cantona's solicitor and more.

  2. 'Must-win games for West Ham'published at 18:49 Greenwich Mean Time 14 December 2016

West Ham v Burnley (19:45 GMT)

    Alistair Bruce-Ball
    Match of the Day commentator

It's a crunch week at the London Stadium - after Burnley's visit on Wednesday, Hull come to town at the weekend and Slaven Bilic has said himself that they are must-win games for him and his team.

The fact Burnley have only picked up one point away from home in six games, and only scored one goal in the process, just adds to the expectation and pressure on the Hammers.

Burnley could play on that if they start well, and if they get that first away win they would be on 20 points after 16 games - halfway to the magic 40!

Only two teams have stopped Diego Costa either scoring or assisting in the Premier League this season (in 15 games) - Manchester United at Stamford Bridge and Arsenal at the Emirates.

    Stoke v Southampton (20:00 GMT)

    StokeImage source, .

Stoke boss Mark Hughes becomes only the fifth man to play in 400 English top-flight games, and then manage in another 400.

"It's a good thing to stick around for so long is a good thing - some would say it's a bad thing," joked Hughes, who also managed Blackburn, Manchester City, Fulham, QPR and Wales.

"You don't stick around this long at this level unless you understand what's required and what it takes to win games at this level and I think I've proved that over a long period now."

The other men to have done that by the way? Bobby Robson, Joe Mercer, Joe Smith and Clem Stephenson.

  9. The Hammers remember Brabrookpublished at 18:44 Greenwich Mean Time 14 December 2016

West Ham v Burnley (19:45 GMT)

West Ham have paid tribute to club legend Peter Brabrook in tonight's programme.

The 79-year-old passed away at the weekend after a short illness.

Brabrook made 215 appearances with the club, scoring 43 goals, and also played for Chelsea, Charlton and Leyton Orient.

He also became known for his work with West Ham's academy, where he scouted and coached players including Joe Cole, Michael Carrick and Frank Lampard.

Sunderland have won their last two Premier League home games - they haven't won three in a row at the Stadium of Light since February 2012.

The relegation zone could look very different by the end of play tonight.

Of the bottom three only bottom-placed Sunderland are at home - and they are up against a Chelsea side who have won nine in a row. Tough.

Hull - who start the night in 19th - are at Tottenham, while 18th-placed Swansea take on West Brom at the Hawthorns.

West Ham, who host Burnley, could fall into trouble if results go against them.

  12. 'Guardiola not putting curry sauce on his chips'published at 18:41 Greenwich Mean Time 14 December 2016

Man City v Watford (19:45 GMT)

    Steve Wilson
    Match of the Day commentator

When Pep Guardiola's Manchester City side had won their first 10 matches of the season, it was as if the rest of the Premier League might as well pack up - here was a genius reinventing the art of winning and rendering the presence of the other 19 clubs pointless.

Now that City have won only four of the 15 games that followed, Guardiola is being presented as a naive tourist - happy with tiki-taka and tapas, but ignorant of great old English traditions like physicality and putting curry sauce on chips. 'City win the league...? They can't even win a tackle.'

The truth, as usual, lies somewhere in-between.

Watford will tackle alright. But which Watford will turn up? The team good enough to sit seventh having beaten Everton, or the one thrashed 6-1 by Liverpool?

Again - the truth lies somewhere in between.

  16. Chelsea can extend Premier League advantagepublished at 18:36 Greenwich Mean Time 14 December 2016

Chelsea will go six points clear at the top of the Premier League if they win at Sunderland.

Liverpool, at Middlesbrough, will go into second place if they win by three goals or more.

But if they do not win, then Manchester City can go above them into third with a victory over Watford.

Conversely, City could drop out of the Champions League places if they lose and Tottenham beat Hull.

Never mind postmen, elves, reindeer or fellers of fir trees, save your sympathy for the good, honest hard-working folk of the Premier League.

Yep, December is a manic month in the life of a footballer.

Some teams are cramming in seven fixtures in the month, and tonight is a special eight-games-at-once sort of a night.

Kind of like a Christmas bonus.*

You can't win the league at Christmas but Chelsea could be just about safe with a win tonight, while at the other end of the table the bottom three are scrabbling for every point they can get.

May we suggest that whatever plans you had for this evening are parked up as the Premier League brings (hopefully) a festival of goals, red cards, squad rotation, managerial meltdowns and annoyingly late kick-off times.

    LET'S DO THIS.
