We probably didn't see that coming after a cagey opening 45 minutes. Celtic produce an impressive second-half display to secure victory at Firhill and move 11 points clear at the top of the Premiership.

Brendan Rodgers believes his side are showing greater attacking menace as the season progresses while his Partick Thistle counterpart Alan Archibald wants his players to be more ruthless in front of goal and tighter in defence.

We're into a minute of added time at Firhill as the visitors ping the ball about in their own half.

Not everyone is impressed with Celtic or the game this evening....

Another one for Leigh Griffiths? No, the pint-sized Celtic striker, with legs going like an excitable hamster's on a wheel, speeds into the Partick penalty area but his shot finds the side-netting. 

Another through ball makes uncomfortable viewing for Celtic's defence. Substitute Ade Azeez is onto it in a flash but a theatrical tumble as Craig Gordon comes out to block sees the Partick man booked by whistler Craig Thomson.

Tomas Cerny, what a save! Celtic carve open the Partick defence with a flowing move as Gamboa's cross tees up substitute Dembele but the French striker sees his rasping drive superbly pushed away by Cerny. 

Another couple of substutions: Azeez replaces Doolan for the hosts and Dembele trots on for Roberts.

While the first half was nip and tuck with space on the ball at a premium, the second has ushered in wide-open encounter with chances aplenty. Three goals since the break with the promise of a few more. Can Partick Thistle test Celtic again with another set piece or will the visitors extend their lead?
