    Sunderland 1-3 Stoke

Chances of a Sunderland fightback are disappearing with just under five minutes of normal time left to play.

It's all a bit scrappy on the pitch and some of the home fans are not anticipating a late revival, they are making their way out of the ground to get a head start on the traffic.

    Manuel Lanzini (86 mins)

West Ham are in the groove.

Michail Antonio has his third assist of the day as the Hammers break and the winger slides the ball to Manuel Lanzini.

The Argentine applies a deft chip to the ball to dink it over Wayne Hennessey for West Ham's third.

Lanzini is booked for having the nerve to enjoy life by celebrating with some fans.

    Swansea 0-4 Arsenal

Big moment for Arsenal fans as Danny Welbeck enters the fray, making his first appearance in the Premier League this season.

He replaces Alexis Sanchez, who doesn't look happy about coming off. The lad just loves his football!

    Martin Keown
Former Arsenal defender on Final Score

It's textbook technique from Andy Carroll, there's a lot of instinct involved, but he knows what he's doing.

Is it better than Giroud's scorpion? There was an element of chance with Giroud but Carroll knows exactly what he's doing.

    Watford 0-0 Middlesbrough

Still no goals but not for the lack of trying as far as Watford are concerned. Substitute Tom Cleverley smacks an effort against the base of the upright before Etienne Capoue lashes wide seconds later.

Hornets boss Walter Mazzarri rubs his face in frustration. He knows his side should be ahead by now.

    West Ham 2-0 Crystal Palace

    Chris Sutton
    Ex-Chelsea striker on Final Score

This is another contender for goal of the season from Andy Carroll. It's a scissor kick. He meant it. It's brilliant.

We wondered whether West Ham would be galvanised by the Payet situation and there's your answer.

    Why always him?

Joey Barton has been on the pitch five minutes and he's already centre of attention.

He hits a free-kick from 25 yards, low and into the wall. It takes a nick and spins in.

Who on earth needs Dimitri Payet when you have Andy Carroll?

It's a goal as wonderful as the big man's ponytail.

It's a flying scissor kick volley from 12 yards out that is truly magnificent.

    Oh my giddy aunt.

Sunderland have upped the pressure. If they can get a goal it will make for an interesting final 15 minutes. Jermain Defoe is giving Stoke plenty to think about, but not troubling Lee Grant yet.

Something to stick in your notebooks at Turf Moor as Joey Barton replaces Dean Marney for his first Premier League action since May 2015.

    Hull City 3-1 Bournemouth

Spare a thought for Tyrone Mings today.

An own goal on his first ever Premier League start after a horribly long time out with a knee injury and he's just gone down holding a knee.

A bit of treatment and he's back up, trying to gee on his team-mates. The boy has bags of bounce-back-ability.

    Alexis Sanchez (73 mins)

Not an own goal, but Wayne Routledge can claim an assist for Arsenal's fourth. Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain crosses for Aaron Ramsey, Routledge's attempt to clear only aids Arsenal as he pokes it forward and Alexis Sanchez sweeps home.

Paul Clement looks like he wishes he was sat next to Carlo Ancelotti back in Germany right about now.

  17. Not exactly a lot of goalmouth action...published at 16:28 Greenwich Mean Time 14 January 2017

    Watford 0-0 Middlesbrough

The three shots the lucky fans who are at Vicarage Road saw in the first half was the lowest in the Premier League this season.

There have been a few more attempts at goal since the break, but Watford's heat map (left) looks awfully similar to Middlesbrough's (on the right).

Lots of the ball outside the opposition area. Hardly any touches inside it. Still no goals, either.

    Sofiane Feghouli (67 mins)

If his red card against Manchester United hadn't been overturned, Sofiane Feghouli wouldn't have been playing today.

But he's got the first goal of the game and spared Michail Antonio's blushes at the same time.

Antonio skips past Wayne Hennessey and tries to roll it into an empty net from a tight angle.

He gets it all wrong but Feghouli is rushing into tap into an empty net.

    Kyle Naughton OG (68 mins)

It's own goals day in Swansea as the visitors gift the Gunners another goal. This time it is the unfortunate Kyle Naughton who puts the ball into his own net, deflecting Alex Iwobi's cross beyond Lukasz Fabianski.

A bad first day at the office for Paul Clement after a promising first 15 minutes.

Watford doing all the pressing at the moment as Etienne Capoue curls an effort just wide of the far post.

The hosts have to make a change, though, as Heurelho Gomes is clearly in discomfort and the Hornets keeper is replaced by Costel Pantilimon.
