    PSG 1-0 Barcelona

A big hand from Ter Stegen prevents PSG doubling their lead. Draxler jinks right and left to get a clear sight of goal in the box but his angled shot is palmed behind.

The resulting corner is allowed to bounce around dangerously on the edge of the six-yard box before the Barca keeper drops on it. Skin. Teeth. Surviving by.

    PSG 1-0 Barcelona

Barca are seeing more of the ball now. This was perhaps inevitable. PSG couldn't keep up the work-rate for the whole game. Thankfully for them, they got the lead when they were on top.

David Randall: Pick. That. One. Out. Di Maria that was filthy.

Paul lummis: Lovely free-kick from Di Maria to score on his birthday. I'd love it if Man Utd could sign somebody like him...

Daniel Woodley: Outstanding free-kick by Di Maria for @PSG_inside but he is no Robbie Brady!

John Nixon: Could the keeper have done better there? I think so.

    PSG 1-0 Barcelona

Big, big chance for Barca! The Spanish side break and Neymar carries the ball into PSG territory before threading a pass to the right side of the box that frees on the onrushing Andre Gomes. He has just the keeper to beat but is unable to do so as Trapp uses his legs to excellent effect.

Now Barca have a dangerous free-kick of their own as Neymar is tripped. Messi is over it, as is the Brazilian. It is further out than Di Maria's.

Nii: I just switched on to watch the match, please is it Barca that are wearing the navy blue?

Nope. They are the ones in the awful turquoise kit getting over-run at the moment.

Victor Lindelof comes to Benfica's rescue, diving in front of his keeper to block a shot from just eight yards out from Ousmane Dembele. He sends the ball behind.

    Angel di Maria

It is dangerous. Deadly in fact. Draxler eyes the free-kick but Angel di Maria takes it and floats it over the wall and into the net. PSG lead and it is nothing less than they deserve.

Ooooh, now then. Draxler is felled on the edge of the box by Samuel Umtiti. This could be very dangerous...

    Benfica 0-0 Borussia Dortmund

Bit more scrappy now in Portugal. Neither team able to hold on to the ball for long enough periods. The home side have a free-kick wide right but the delivery is awful. It sails over everyone in the box and is easy for Dortmund to gather and clear.

    PSG 0-0 Barcelona

Blaise Matuidi is almost clear again from a neat pass into a gap in the Barca back line but he can't take the ball with him. PSG very much in the ascendancy.

Marc-Andre ter Stegen to the rescue! Blaise Matuidi is down the left and into the box before firing a shot that looks destined for the net until the Barca keeper sticks out a mitt and blocks. PSG follow up but the shot is straight at the number one, who collects.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has brought his own nine iron. Actually, it is more of a seven as he chips the ball just over the bar after being put through on goal by Ousmane Dembele. Best chance of the night so far for the Germans.

Edinson Cavani is not a man to leave alone in the box. Fortunately for Barca, after Di Maria's floated ball to the back post finds the striker, he is unable to capitalise, checking back before seeing his shot blocked. Great opportunity, though.

Oh, what a waste! Benfica are away down the right again and there is acres of space for Salvio... even more when Erik Durm falls over. But the Benfica man nine irons the ball over the bar.
