If Rostov had scored on their latest attack, Jose Mourinho would not have been pleased.

After a thorough examination by the Manchester United doctor, it was decided Daley Blind could not continue after taking a blow to the head.

Play restarted before Phil Jones could get on, leaving Mourinho bellowing from the touchline for someone to put the ball out of play.

But no-one heard - at least not until after Rostov had got dangerously near the home goal.

Roma have pulled another goal back - Stephan el Shaarawy comes off the bench and moments later teenage Lyon defender Lucas Tousart puts his cross into his own net.

The Italians need one more goal, they trail 5-4 on aggregate. And El Shaarawy almost put them ahead on away goals but missed from close range.

As it stands, Jose Mourinho's men edging through on away goals.

Already you can see the difference Aleksandr Bukharov has made to the Rostov side.

The big, burly striker holds the ball up in the box and lays it off for Dmitri Poloz, but United defender Eric Bailly does brilliantly to slide in and block the effort.

Meanwhile, United player Daley Blind is down on the deck and is taking treatment from the physio.

Leon Goretzka has given Schalke hope at Borussia Monchengladbach. They need one goal to beat their Bundesliga rivals on away goals. Gladbach lead 2-1, 3-2 on aggregate.

Ander Herrera nicks the ball deep in the Rostov half and gives it to Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

The big man runs through Miha Mevlja, sending the visiting defender sprawling to the ground, but Ibrahimovic's pullback is straight into the hands of Nikita Medvedev.

"The Iranian Messi" Sardar Azmoun finds space on the edge of the box and curls an effort towards the far post, forcing Sergio Romero into a full stretch save.

That was heading for the corner of the net.

From the follow up, Christian Noboa attempts a volley, which skips off the turf but straight into the hands of Romero.

Some Manchester United fans have been grumbling for a while that Paul Pogba should be left out.

Now they might see what happens if he is.

No-one has started more games (40) for United this season and only Zlatan Ibrahimovic has been involved in as many - 41.

If that is a hamstring injury, Pogba could be missing for longer than just the international break.
