OK, that's pretty much your lot from me for this evening.

Head over here for Mike Henson's match report and feel free to scroll on down if you're just catching up on things.

We'll see you for Premier League football over the weekend. For Manchester United, it's Chelsea at home on Sunday next.

    Lyon 2-1 Besiktas

Oh my word, Lyon have just scored what must be a winner with five minutes to play in their delayed kick-off with Besiktas - delayed because of serious crowd trouble.

The Besiktas keeper did a Cruyff turn when feigning to launch a back pass, and then suddenly found three Lyon players around him. He tried to beat them - but was dispossessed and rarely will Jeremy Morel have an easier finish.

Jim, Manchester: Awful performance. Spent money on big name players who failed to deliver. Mourinho needs to sort this asap.

Phil, Cardiff: Last half an hour the whole united attack just walking around with no desire to break with pace and kill the game off. The fact that they seem to be happy with a 1-0 at Anderlecht says how far United have fallen. And they paid the price with poor finishing as usual this season.

More from Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho: "In my poor English I cannot find a better word [than sloppy]. You have to play more seriously. Put the performance of two or three of our attacking players together and you squeeze not much juice out of it. Rashford Lingard, Ibrahimovic, Martial. They were very similar.

"But the people behind very solid very focused. The defenders did the serious work but the people who had to kill the game didn't.

"We start the game at Old Trafford in front, but we had all the conditions to kill the game."

    Manchester United

Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho, speaking to BT Sport: "We have to kill matches. We had chances, control, but... we don't score goals... we risk.

"There was lots of space to kill, good chances. LOTS of chances that we don't get because of a bad touch, sloppy touch, a flick, bad decisions in the last third.

"There was a team with good organisation at the back, but one mistake and we were punished."

Ayush, Oxfordshire: When that cross came in, Dendoncker was Fellaini's man. Fellaini's let him go and given him a free header - poor tracking back might have cost us... this is schoolboy stuff, amateur hour defending.

It might feel a bit like a defeat - an 86th-minute equaliser's never one to write home about - but at least the away goal should leave Manchester United in the driving seat come next Thursday.

Also, the result means United are unbeaten in their last four European away games (W2 D2) - having lost each of the five before that. So that's something?

Thomashollern: Pogba says he has forgotten how much he cost. Someone better remind him and quickly so he can start earning his wage.

Rashida: Considering how much money was playing for United, Jośe has every right to sit back and watch them produce, or not.

Ben Peterson: Bring on Fellaini, I assume to see out the win, then he doesn't track his man, who equalises. Awful.

Looking at the goal again it's clear Marouane Fellaini doesn't track his man into the box.

Matteo Darmian comes across in his place but is late and can't outjump Leander Dendoncker.

Fellaini might have been able to.

Manchester United midfielder Michael Carrick on BT Sport: "It's frustrating. We were so in control but got sloppy, we have to kill teams off. We should have won that game. They had one chance and scored a header. We need to be more ruthless, it's as simple as that. We were too comfortable. We got sloppy.

"It's not the end of the world but we are better than that. It's that little edge that makes the difference in the end, but we'll look forward to the next game."

I think we can all do with hyping our game to be fair.

Elsewhere, Schalke have beaten Schalke and Schalke have beaten with Schalke. Nah only joking.

Ajax have beaten Schalke 2-0 at home and Celta Vigo won 3-2 at home to Genk.

The match between Lyon and Besiktas was delayed after serious crowd trouble - that's 1-0 to Besiktas with 35 still to play.

Andrew Neill: Soooooooooo how many million do you think Jose will be spending on strikers and wingers in the summer?

babatunde sakiru: Jose Mourinho is tactically poor as a coach, and Paul Pogba needs to hype his game.

Alex Smith: Such poor defending from United has meant we only take a draw back from Belgium. Seen better down the local park.

Freed from Desire by Gala - you know the tune - booms around the Brussels night sky. This isn't any old Thursday night.

Leander Dendoncker's late, late equaliser makes next week's tie in Manchester very tasty indeed...

Disappointment must be the overriding feeling for the men in red. They led with just minutes to go but were pegged back by Anderlecht's first attempt on target.

It was unstoppable, but Jose Mourinho's side might have been out of side if Paul Pogba had planted that golden chance only a few moments before.

The Anderlecht players go to their fans, hands in the air. They're still in this.

Paul Pogba drives forward. There are red shirts catching up with him, but the Anderlecht purple sweep back to clear.

Anthony Fosu-Mensah is in the book for a two-footed studs-up challenge that took the ball. Risky that.
