  1. CHANCE!published at 57 mins

    Anderlecht 0-1 Man Utd

Marcus Rashford wants in on the act now as Manchester United look to re-assert themselves.

The England striker fires one with real power from outside the box, but it's straight at Ruben Martinez, right down his throat.

  2. CLOSE!published at 55 mins

    Anderlecht 0-1 Man Utd

And this is why - Henrikh Mkhitaryan sends one just wide, meeting Matteo Darmian's cross from the left with an elegant flick.

Think Cristiano Ronaldo's first from last night, but not quite as good. It went the other side of the post for a start.

  3. Postpublished at 54 mins

    Anderlecht 0-1 Man Utd

Nicolae Stanciu swings in a corner from stage left - Anderlecht's fifth of the game but most of those came in the very early stages.

It's a poor one, easily claimed by Sergio Romero in the end. They need to make this pressure count.

  4. Postpublished at 53 mins

    Anderlecht 0-1 Man Utd

Issac Kiese Thelin's been leading the line in the absence of Lukasz Teodorczyk - Anderlecht's top scorer.

Already the camera's cut to him a couple of times since the break. He's on the bench, the Polish striker - because he's not fit enough to start.

    How long before they gamble?

  5. CLOSE!published at 50 mins

    Anderlecht 0-1 Man Utd

    Antonio Valencia to the rescue!

First he hooks a Massimo Bruno effort away - from almost on the goalline.

Then he bravely blocks a Frank Acheampong smash with his back. United on the ropes here. The home side are resurgent.

...But Nicolae Stanciu blazes over. Not a great one, from a man who became the most expensive signing in Belgian football history when he joined from Steaua Bucharest last summer (for about 10m euros).

  7. YELLOW CARDpublished at 47 mins

    Anderlecht 0-1 Man Utd

Frank Acheampong has other ideas though - he's been really bright and drives towards goal, to be brought down by Michael Carrick on the edge of the area. Yellow card for the Manchester United man.

    Dangerous position...

I reckon Jose Mourinho would take that.

Come on now, we all knew Schalke were bad but they're not that bad are they? 😉

    (I've spotted that error now)

But even if it were physically possible for them to play two matches at once, you'd still back Manchester United to take the Europa League title this year.

    Wouldn't you?...

Elsewhere, Celta Vigo are beating Genk 3-1, and Ajax are beating Schalke 1-0.

The match between Lyon and Besiktas - delayed because of serious crowd trouble - only got under way about three minutes ago and is 0-0.

Josh Earl: Massive away goal from Mkhitaryan, he loves the Europa League!! Well deserved on the balance of play.

Jeremiah Kariuki: That goal has been long comming! Need two more quickly to kill the game.

    Anderlecht 0-1 Man Utd

Youri Tielemans picks Jesse Lingard's pocket - and Lingard actually takes a bit of a swipe at him - a boot goes swinging in his general direction - with Tielemans already a shadow ahead of him.

Anderlecht's lot were not happy about that at all.

  15. Postpublished at 42 mins

    Anderlecht 0-1 Man Utd

Antonio Valencia making more progress down the right flank - but his Anderlecht marker sticks a leg out, knocking what looked like a decent cross out to a corner.

From there, United recycle possession and go home to Sergio Romero. Slowly slowly.

  16. Teams on the pitchpublished at 20:45 British Summer Time 13 April 2017

    Lyon v Besiktas

Lyon and Besiktas's players have stood together in the centre of the pitch and applauded all four sides of the the Parc OL in a unified call for calm after earlier disturbances in the stands.

A quick warm-up for the two side and, more than half an hour after the stated start time, we look ready to get under way.

FIVE to go until the break. Can Jose Mourinho's side put this one to bed before then?

  18. goal

United get the away goalpublished at 20:44 British Summer Time 13 April 2017

Henrikh Mkhitaryan gambles, and it pays off.

Marcus Rashford's first-time flash-shot is only palmed away to the back stick by Ruben Martinez, and Mkhitaryan is there to smash home from actually a pretty tricky angle with the Anderlecht keeper still deck-bound.

Manchester United have the lead - the chances have finally told - and a tie-transforming away goal.

It looks like we could be close to kick-off in the quarter-final between Lyon and Besiktas. The teams are in the tunnel, ready to go with mascots at their sides.

Kick-off has been delayed after crowd disturbances. Lyon fans came onto the pitch apparently to escape objects being thrown at them from the tier above.
