I think the referee has got it right. I think Marouane Fellaini is climbing all over uros Spajic. He jumps and leans on him. That is the right call.

Marouane Fellaini has to show more conviction there. He rose above Uros Spajic.

Top, class defending from the Anderlecht man.

Has Uros Spajic just blocked what would have been one of the finest goals ever at Old Trafford? What a party-pooper.

Superb from Henrikh Mkhitaryan, moving in and out like he is being controlled on a computer game.

He presses triangle to slip a through ball to Marcus Rashford, but the pass has too much on it and Kara Mbodji can clear.

Neil Leverett: If Zlatan was ruled out for the rest of the campaign could be a blessing in disguise. Marcus Rashford anyone?

Herbert Karima: I'm genuinely happy that Zlatan is injured, misses too many BIG chances.

    Phil McNulty
BBC Sport chief football writer at Old Trafford

As Jose Mourinho was trying to rouse the troops for extra-time, Zlatan Ibrahimovic was being helped off after landing awkwardly on his knee in the final action of normal time.

Irrespective of the result, this could be a very costly night for Manchester United with Marcos Rojo taken off on a stretcher in the first half.

Extra time is under way and there was a huge cheer for current misfit Anthony Martial when he came on as Zlatan's replacement.

  16. CLOSE!published at 92 mins

Man Utd 1-1 Anderlecht (agg: 2-2)

Oh my, drowning in skills at Old Trafford, this could have been the best goal in the history of football.

Marcus Rashford's 'rabona' cross finds Paul Pogba at the back post and the Frenchman catches a bicycle kick brilliantly, but Uros Spajic is the party pooper, clearing the ball of the line.

We would have talked about that goal for years.
