Oxlade Chamberlain has been brilliant. He is one of the players who grabbed the game by the scruff of the neck and said 'we are not going to lose like this'.

Into added time at the end of the first period of extra time. That's not easy to say.

City trail and they haven't really threatened at all in the extras.

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is off, Hector Bellerin on. The Ox has really impressed in the last two games at wing-back. Have Arsenal finally found his position?

  7. YELLOW CARDpublished at 104 mins

    Arsenal 2-1 Manchester City

This game was on the verge of bubbling over at the end of the first half and there's now a scuffle between a whole host of players. Fabian Delph is booked as a result as the captains are called in to calm it down.

It is a scramble but how much will that goal mean to Arsenal? Arsene Wenger's side have shown real grit here today and now have that crucial extra-time advantage thanks to Alexis Sanchez.

Wenger looks calm on the sidelines but this would be a huge win for him.

Raheem Sterling wriggles into the area and puts across a very testing ball - cleared from inside the six-yard box!

It seems every time the ball goes into the box at either end, defences fail to deal with it. Sanchez is just too quick for Kompany there. You look at Arsene Wenger's record in this competition - it's clear he's not letting go of this easily.

I wouldn't say it has been his most lively game but Sanchez is usually a player who pops up at big moments.

He wasn't going to pass up on an opportunity six yards out.

He's barely been in the game at all but Arsenal's man for the big occasion comes up trumps once more. A free-kick is nodded down, Danny Welbeck miskicks inside the six-yard box, Gael Clichy is weak and Alexis Sanchez muscles him off the ball and stabs in from just a few yards out.

Can a depleted City come back from this?

So it looks like Kevin de Bruyne is going to play up front for Manchester City. That's three changes they have made but remember, you can make a fourth in extra time now in the FA Cup.

  20. CLOSE!published at 96 mins

Good play Danny Welbeck, into the area, beating Gael Clichy once, but not twice and that's a corner.

And you've got to score that! Rob Holding has a free header, about four yards out, and he puts it over!

    That was the chance.
