Fernandinho is very unlucky. He rises above everyone, gets great contact. Cech has no chance.

I think both teams are looking to win this in 90 minutes. No one's looking for extra time just yet.
Arsenal 1-1 Manchester City
Kevin de Bruyne sends Leroy Sane into the area but Gabriel covers the ground well to make a fine tackle. High fives all around.
From the corner, Fernandinho meets it and thunks a header against the crossbar! So unlucky.

I think Ozil did the right thing, going back on his left foot, but Otamendi just got back and snuffed the danger out.

John: Great save by Cech, redemption
Arsenal 1-1 Manchester City
Is there a late winner on the cards? Arsenal, under pressure, break free through Aaron Ramsey and send Mesut Ozil scampering away down the right-hand side. He wants to cut inside, desperate to get onto his left foot, and City know that and shut him out.

That was vintage Yaya Toure.

Toure's got no right to get that on target. It's a great save by Petr Cech.
Arsenal 1-1 Manchester City
Vintage Yaya Toure! That's what he's all about, plays a one-two on the halfway line and then he's off, powering into space and moving in on goal. He manhandles Nacho Monreal away from him, plays it out wide, and then when it pops back into his arc he smacks a volley against the base of the post from maybe 22 yards.
Great hit, and Petr Cech got a touch on that! Fine save.

This game is swinging back in City's direction. They're bossing possession once more. Arsenal are looking a little tired.

Craig Smith: What a cross from Chamberlain, he is loving that right wing back role. Best position I've seen him in for Arsenal to date
Sunny: What a finish from Sanch...I mean Monreal! Great ball from Ox
Arsenal 1-1 Manchester City
City are once again seeing nearly all of the ball, it's patient stuff if not exactly exhausting pressure. Both sides have only mustered two shots on target.

Here's Sergio Aguero's goal from earlier on. Petr Cech under scrutiny? Harsh?

We could have extra time on our hands by the way. Put your afternoon plans on hold.
Arsenal 1-1 Manchester City
Of all the wide players on display today you'd probably have Nacho Monreal as last on the list of goal threats. That's only his third goal for Arsenal.
A fine finish too.

Oxlade-Chamberlain has been outstanding on the right-hand side, and Monreal, the wing-back on the other flank, comes in to finish. Monreal has just taken charge. It was his destiny to get on the end of that. We now have a proper game on our hands.
Arsenal 1-1 Manchester City
There's the route back into the game for Arsenal? Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain put in plenty of crosses from right wing-back at Middlesbrough last time out but he has barely bothered this afternoon.
This time he looks up and delivers a beauty, in between Claudio Bravo and his defence, it's over Olivier Giroud but Nacho Monreal arrives on it and finishes very smartly with his right foot! No chance Claudio Bravo.
Nacho Monreal
Who saw that one coming?
