Birmingham City with their second change as Chloe Peplow replaces Andrine Hegerberg.

    Peplow needs to act fast...

And straight back down the other end, Birmingham City have a chance to pull one back.

Ellen White hooks her effort over after getting on the end of a low cross.

There is still some life in this contest...

That epic comeback I just referenced... yeah, well that looks ever more unlikely thanks to Jill Scott.

Toni Duggan provides the pass for her Manchester City and England team-mate, and Scott beats Kerys Harrop before lashing it into the top corner.

  5. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 78 mins

    Birmingham City 1-3 Manchester City

Substitutions as Abbie McManus comes on for Megan Campbell.

That is the last change for Man City, can they see out the win or is an epic comeback on the cards?

    Birmingham City 1-3 Manchester City

    Sue Smith
Former England forward on BBC Two

"Charlie Wellings has done really well since she came on. I don't think she's done anything wrong. It's a good strike with her left foot, right into the corner. Could this give Birmingham the lift that they need?"

    Charlie Wellings

    Is there hope?

Well, substitute Charlie Wellings has certainly given Birmingham City some with a sensational low shot to beat Karen Bardsley.

She has been on the field for less than 10 minutes.

  9. White typifies battling Bluespublished at 18:47 British Summer Time 13 May 2017

Ellen White has led from the front with a typically gutsy performance and her fizzing long-range low strike keeps Karen Bardsley honest and livens up the Blues fans again.

The haven't had much to cheer but recognise the workrate and effort being put in by their team.

The second half has been much more even but, as we approach the final 20 minutes Birmingham need more than guts and spirit to pull off the most unlikely of comebacks.

This time she foils Toni Duggan at the near post. Great stop.

Another big, big chance for Manchester City.

The ball is threaded through into acres of space for Nikita Parris to try run on to.

However, goalkeeper Ann-Katrin Berger is off her line like a shot and beats Parris to the ball on the edge of the area.

    Sue Smith
Former England forward on BBC Two

"Birmingham need that final pass to be better to give themselves an opportunity. The three at the back has worked for them up to this point, but Manchester City have just had too much for them in this game."

This final has slowed up somewhat...

    Sue Smith
Former England forward on BBC Two

"Birmingham won't want to see Toni Duggan come onto the pitch. Not only is she coming into the match off the back of a fantastic hat-trick but she'll be bitterly disappointed not to have started so she'll have a point to prove."

    Oh. My. Very. Word.

That could have been embarrassing for Birmingham goalkeeper Ann-Katrin Berger as she clatters a clearance into a chasing Manchester City forward.

The ball loops back up into her possession. Yikes.

  19. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 56 mins

    Birmingham City 0-3 Manchester City

Melissa Lawley looks to have picked up a minor knock and she makes way for England international Toni Duggan.

That is the Toni Duggan who scored a hat-trick against Bristol City in the league four days ago...

Will we see a big impact here today?

  20. Postpublished at 55 mins

    Birmingham City 0-3 Manchester City

That could have been and, dare I say, should have been four for Manchester City.

Nikita Parris bursts into the box, shapes to shoot and is denied by Ann-Katrin Berger.

A fine save, yes. A big chance, absolutely.
