Juventus could have been forgiven for being revisited by some old Champions League Final demons after Cristiano Ronaldo gave Real Madrid the lead - but how they have responded.
Mario Mandzukic has been reinvented in Turin and that was a goal of technique, imagination and athleticism from the 31-year-old.

That free-kick was handled in the wall by Cristiano Ronaldo but he got away with it. Karim Benzema then clatters somebody with a swinging arm. There's no love lost out there, a really great final so far.

Juve now win a free-kick as Paulo Dybala is chopped down again. Low, stocky, hard man to get a hold of.
He hits a free-kick into the wall though. Andrea Pirlo would have liked that one.

Mario Mandzukic, who scored for Bayern at Wembley in 2013, is the third player to score in the European Cup final for two different teams after Velibor Vasovic and Cristiano Ronaldo.
Ronaldo then duffs a good chance as he miscues a header and puts it well off target! He was free - that's a very big chance for him.

This is a cracking final. Not the cagey game you often get, both teams attacking and open. Paulo Dybala slaloms away from a tackle and is then put on his backside by a strong tackle. No card.

My word what a finish that is. With his back to goal he had no option but to try the overhead kick! He tried it and Navas had no chance. That was one hell of a finish. What a strike! He catches it so sweet.

A superb equaliser from the Croatian Peter Crouch as Mario Mandzukic scores a goal that nobody else on the pitch could probably have found!
Alex Sandro puts the ball in from the left, it's headed to Mandzukic about 15 yards out, on the left of the area, he chests it up and then with two defenders right in his face he manages to hook an acrobatic effort up and over them, and over Keylor Navas and into the top corner.
Brilliant.

Cristiano Ronaldo has now scored in three European Cup finals. Remarkable. His shot took a slight nick off the toe of Leonardo Bonucci. Another fine assist for Dani Carvajal too, who was superb in Munich in the quarter-final.

Magic!
Big names do it in big games! Cristiano Ronaldo makes this look so easy, it's a fabulous goal. Ronaldo plays the ball out to Dani Carvajal overlapping on the right, he instantly puts the ball back into the middle and Ronaldo steers it low, side-footed, past Gigi Buffon and into the corner.
That was sweetly struck. Right into the corner.
