It was indeed, the full ball in the full face of Leo Bonucci and he is indeed OK to continue. A bit shaken up that's all.

That was the first thing Bonucci indicated when he sat down...a bit of double vision. It was the ball hitting him in the face rather than an elbow. He shouldn't be too bad.

Great knock! Toni Kroos puts over a beauty of a corner, five or six men get under the ball and it almost lands as a free header for Raphael Varane. Well cleared though, and there's a clash of heads in there too. Stoppage.

It's not a bad option to look at the bench when you have Gareth Bale and you're chasing the game. He can do something special.
