Four touches in the opposition box so far for Cristiano Ronaldo - he scored with his first.

Will he have a better chance to score Champions League goal 105 than the header he put wastefully wide not that long after his opener?

Little more zip about Real Madrid at the start of this second half but it will take something special to find a way through this Juventus defence. Real's fans responding now as well, They are are as noisy as they have been all night.

Good left foot effort by Luka Modric - 22 or 23 yards out. That wasn't going to trouble Buffon. It was straight at him.

That's four bookings now. Fractious, ill-tempered start to the second period. Can we have some football again?

Luka Modric shoots, it all opened up for him 22 yards out and he caught it well but Gigi Buffon is always saving that.

We talked the first half up too much in that half-time break. It's gone very dogs of war now. Toni Kroos is late on Sami Khedira, another tread on the toes, and he's in the book.

Dani Alves is now hurt, it's a scrappy start to the second half. Marcelo trod on his foot indeed. A painful one.

It was indeed, the full ball in the full face of Leo Bonucci and he is indeed OK to continue. A bit shaken up that's all.

That was the first thing Bonucci indicated when he sat down...a bit of double vision. It was the ball hitting him in the face rather than an elbow. He shouldn't be too bad.

Anyone questioning Navas for that Mandzukic goal needs to try diving to their left from a standing start whilst throwing their left hand 8ft in the air. Trust me, it's easier and more efficient to go with your right hand. He simply had no chance.

Great knock! Toni Kroos puts over a beauty of a corner, five or six men get under the ball and it almost lands as a free header for Raphael Varane. Well cleared though, and there's a clash of heads in there too. Stoppage.

It's not a bad option to look at the bench when you have Gareth Bale and you're chasing the game. He can do something special.

Gareth Bale watches on from the Real bench as his side get on the ball early. The possession was just shaded by Real in that first half.

Good ball in behind, Isco racing in but Andrea Barzagli slides in and makes a fine tackle!
