Troy Deeney knocks Jack Wilshere off the ball despite a huge cry of "man on" from the Vitality Stadium crowd. 

The striker turns and tries to pick out Tom Cleverely running through the middle but his radar is off and the Cherries mop up.

Where they looked assured just a few moments ago, the Cherries are now rattled, misplacing more passes in midfield.

The Watford goal initially came from a poor back pass by Tyrone Mings by the way, not improving on last week's own goal nightmare against Hull.

He and his fellow defenders need to settle down, Watford have upped the pace since taking the lead.

When defending a corner you can't lose three challenges in a row. 

Bournemouth are great on the ball but when it comes to the details they are not very strong. 

That is why they are able to concede goals like that.

Just give the ball to Jack, lads. Wilshere pulling the strings again, this time opting to shoot himself and forcing Gomes to parry away. A solid strike but too close to the keeper.

Jack Wilshere is showing some lovely touches early on, teasing the Watford defence just outside the area and slipping in a pass towards Callum Wilson.

The striker falls under the attention of Holebas but Lee Mason is not interested. No Bournemouth player offered much of an appeal either.

Watford steal the ball in midfield and look for Stefano Okaka in behind... but the big Italian has no gas and is easily beaten to it by Steve Cook.

Superb vision from Jack Wilshere with a delicious chipped ball into the box that lands perfectly on the head of Ryan Fraser - the diminutive Scot loops his header over Heurelho Gomes but the Hornets keeper recovers to tip it over.

That was creeping in. Great ball from Wilshere in the build-up.

Another long throw from Holebas, it comes out to Sebastian Prodl and the defender smacks an ambitious effort into row z.

Charlie Daniels floats a decent cross in from the left and Callum Wilson gets up but heads well wide.

Good defending from Miguel Britos to put the striker off as he leapt.

"Championes, championes," chant the home crowd, reminding Watford how they beat them to the Championship title in 2014-15.

Another corner to the Cherries, taken short - Troy Deeney back to defend and clear for a throw.

Ryan Fraser is down clutching his shoulder but soon gets back to his feet.

Another half opening for the Cherries moments before as Adam Smith got free on the right but couldn't quite find a team-mate in the box.

Callum Wilson and Josh King have a great chance to link up on their return to the side but King's through ball is poor and straight to a white shirt.

Tyrone Mings is making his second Premier League start after that nightmare outing against Hull in which he scored an own goal.

He's put under pressure by the big frame of Okaka on the ball just outside his area but shields well enough to draw a foul.

Jose Holebas channels his inner Rory Delap and goes for a long throw that puts the cat among the pigeons in the Bournemouth box.

Stefano Okaka is interested for a while but the Cherries defence finally hack it clear, if a little unconvincingly. 

First corner of the game goes to the home side, the Watford defence just nipping in ahead of Callum Wilson before the striker could get on to Adam Smith's cross.

It comes to nothing though and Watford clear.

Tom Cleverley scored 11 goals for Watford on his previous loan spell at the club while a Manchester United player.

Now on loan from Everton, the Hornets would definitely welcome a similar impact from him this time around.

Watford have lost their last five straight away games in the Premier League.

Both Callum Wilson and Josh King scored in that 2-2 draw with Watford back in October, perhaps explaining their inclusion by Eddie Howe today.

Watford captain Troy Deeney also scored that day and he'll lead the line alongside Stefano Okaka here.
