Nearly a fourth for West Ham. Michail Antonio on the right corner of the penalty area aims for the far post but gets the angles wrong, with the ball just going past the post.

Five minutes injury time. Southampton need two goals for a point.

Steve Davis is desperate to make amends for his earlier error. He gets into the box, but his shot is comfortable for a diving Darren Randolph.

Southampton's James Ward-Prowse with a free-kick in a decent position, but it sails harmlessly over the top.

Winston Reid is not too happy with Shane Long. The West Ham player thinks Long has made a lot of a challenge, but the replays show Reid has chopped Long down. And the West Ham man gets a yellow card.

Alex Le May: A good cup run is disguising a Southampton team that has failed to deliver this season and has in many ways gone backwards. 

Remember, they have an EFL Cup final against Manchester United to look forward to on 26 February.

They are piling on the pressure. Southampton register their third attempt in five minutes.

Nathan Redmond's dinked cross to the back post finds an acrobatic Maya Yoshida, but he can't keep the spectacular volley down.

Another decent stop from the West Ham stopper. Randolph dives right to his left to hold on to a low 20-yard drive from Steve Davis.

Southampton are still pushing trying to get back in the game and West Ham goalkeeper Darren Randolph does well to tip over a header from James Ward-Prowse.

More trouble for Southampton. Club record signing Sofiane Boufal looks in pain. He is limping off, aided by two club physios, and on comes Shane Long.

That should be the second goal for Manolo Gabbiadini. Southampton are gifted a chance with a misjudged header from Cheikhou Kouyate inside his own penalty area.

That presents the ball to Gabbiadini eight yards out, but he leans back and swings the ball over the top when he should have hit the target.

Andy Carroll is saved for another day, but West Ham fans need not worry as it does not look like he has an injury.

Manuel Lanzini is the man who has come on.
