    Sevilla 0-0 Real Madrid

Half-chance for Sevilla. Franco Vazquez works a little space just outside the penalty area, and fizzes a shot not too far off target. Very watchable game this, even if we're short on clear openings at the moment.

    Sevilla 0-0 Real Madrid

I covered Barcelona v Las Palmas yesterday, and was struck by how often players rugby tackled each other - as if they had never learned how to make a challenge properly. There's a bit of that going on here, as Sevilla midfielder Vicente Iborra grabs Cristiano Ronaldo round the shoulders, and sees a yellow card.

Can Real Madrid go the whole season unbeaten?

Kyle: No chance of Real going unbeaten. Their is a good chance it may end tonight. They give teams too many chances.

    Sevilla 0-0 Real Madrid

First save of the contest, and it's forced by Cristiano Ronaldo, played into space down the left. It's a difficult angle for the Ballon d'Or winner, and he cannot get the pace into the shot with his left foot, but Sergio Rico still has to get down low to his left to hold it.

    Sevilla 0-0 Real Madrid

A nervy moment for Real once again. Raphael Varane is almost caught on the edge of his own penalty area, but Dani Carvajal is sharp and boots clear. Sevilla build again; Mariano cushions a header towards Samir Nasri, who takes a touch 25 yards from goal and fires a rising shot just over. Still feels like the early rounds of a heavyweight title fight this. We await the first big punch.

    Fiorentina 0-0 Juventus

Gone a bit quiet in Florence, meanwhile. Federico Chiesa, for the hosts, tested Gianluigi Buffon with a shot towards the near post a few moments ago, but the Juve goalkeeper turned it aside and it remains goalless with 20 minutes gone.

    Sevilla 0-0 Real Madrid

Referee Hernandez Hernandez (so good they named him twice) is trying to let the game flow. Casemiro and Raphael Varane fly into a couple of committed challenges, but win the ball fairly, and play is allowed to go on. Might be a few bruises on both sides tomorrow morning, though.

    Sevilla 0-0 Real Madrid

Real looking a little vulnerable at set-pieces here. Samir Nasri swings in a corner for Sevilla, and Keylor Navas is beaten to the ball by Steven N'Zonzi, but Raphael Varane does enough to put him off and the near-post header flies into the sky.

Can Real go the whole season unbeaten?

Andy White: Yes with a bit of luck. Amazed they're unbeaten as in a lot of matches they haven't played well, but Zinedine Zidane has the magic touch.

Godwin Gabriel: Real Madrid have been great lately, but when I thought the record would come to an end were against Barcelona and Sevilla.

  10. Postpublished at 18 mins

    Sevilla 0-0 Real Madrid

Sevilla probing for an opening now. Mariano bounces in a cross from the right. Wissam Ben Yedder, their 15-goal top scorer, is lurking in the centre, but there are enough purple Madrid shirts back there and the ball is cleared. Neither goalkeeper has had to make a save - we've not had the fireworks of Thursday so far. But there's time.

    Sevilla 0-0 Real Madrid

Corner for Real Madrid. Toni Kroos delivers deep towards the penalty spot and Sergio Ramos - who has scored a fair few important goals during their long unbeaten run - loops a header over the bar under pressure. Deafening whistles from the home support.

    Fiorentina 0-0 Juventus

Goalless too at Stadio Artemio Franchi with 10 minutes gone -- although Matias Vecino has just hit the post for Fiorentina after a terrific mazy run.

Leonard Bonucci, returning to the Juventus starting line-up after injury, is welcomed back by getting a bang on the head, but he is OK after treatment.

  13. Postpublished at 10 mins

    Sevilla 0-0 Real Madrid

A fairly cautious opening 10 minutes, the odd thumping challenge notwithstanding. Luka Modric gets celar of Adil Rami down the Real right and makes space for a cross, but just overhits hit, and the ball eludes Ronaldo and friends in the centre.

  14. Postpublished at 7 mins

    Sevilla 0-0 Real Madrid

But Cristiano Ronaldo's free-kick hits Steven N'Zonzi in the Sevilla well. Ex-Manchester United foiled by ex-Blackburn and Stoke.

  15. Postpublished at 6 mins

    Sevilla 0-0 Real Madrid

Sergio Ramos has a touch of the ball, and is met by deafening boos. I'm guessing the attempt at conciliation didn't charm everyone.

Free-kick for Real, around 30 yards out, as Samir Nasri takes down Casemiro. You know who's taking it...

Can Real Madrid go the whole season unbeaten?

Viv: Possibly if the players maintain same form and are well rotated to keep everyone fit and firing. Main opposition, Barcelona and Atletico Madrid, are not doing that well!

Nikul11: No. Because Sevilla will beat them tonight.

  17. KICK-OFFpublished at 19:49 Greenwich Mean Time 15 January 2017

    Fiorentina 0-0 Juventus

A bit late kicking off in Florence, but they're off and running too. The home side in all violet, Juve in black and white stripes.

  18. Postpublished at 2 mins

    Sevilla 0-0 Real Madrid

A noisy atmosphere at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan. Would you expect anything else? Real centre-back Raphael Varane is in the mood, immediately clattering into Vitolo. And so the tempo is set.

  19. KICK-OFFpublished at 19:45 Greenwich Mean Time 15 January 2017

    Sevilla 0-0 Real Madrid

A little stat for you as we get under way: Real Madrid have lost on three of their last four La Liga visits to Sevilla - including last season, when Rafa Benitez was in charge.

What chance a home win tonight? Sevilla are in white. Real in a change strip that's the colour my hands get when they're really cold.

Sevilla v Real Madrid (19:45 GMT)

Sergio Ramos looks to be in conciliatory mood tonight after Thursday's shenanigans. He has been picked up by the television cameras handing a Real Madrid shirt to a Sevilla fan. She looked as overcome as someone reunited with a long-lost relative. A nice touch.
