  4. 'A glorious defeat'published at 18:14 Greenwich Mean Time 19 February 2017

    Blackburn 1-2 Manchester United

Former Liverpool defender on Radio 5 live

United have done enough, but only just. They know they have been in a game, that's for certain.

There's no doubt that the substitutions changed the course of the game, the pace of the game. All of a sudden United went for it with Zlatan and Pogba.

Blackburn never gave up and had a triple chance to get an equaliser. In many ways it's a glorious defeat for them, they did very well but now they must concentrate on Championship survival.

Romero did brilliantly by standing his ground. Unfortunately for Blackburn all three shots were straight at him!

  13. DISALLOWED GOALpublished at 87 mins

    Blackburn 1-2 Man Utd

    Tense!

Connor Mahoney - who has been excellent since coming on - gives two Manchester United defenders the slip to get into space just outside the box. He fizzes in a shot, Sergio Romero saves and then blocks Marvin Emnes' follow up. Anthony Stokes pokes in but he is blatantly offside and he knows it as he looks to the linesman's flag.

All or nothing now for Blackburn and they are piling players forward.

Paul Pogba gives away a free-kick on the right and Connor Mahoney fires it in low, but Manchester United clear.

  17. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 78 mins

    Blackburn 1-2 Man Utd

That goal is Zlatan Ibrahimovic's first in the FA Cup and 24th in all competitions. He's well on course to break the 30 barrier in his first Premier League season. Like a duck to water.

Blackburn made a change straight after that goal, Danny Graham off for Anthony Stokes.

    Blackburn 1-2 Manchester United

    Mark Lawrenson
Former Liverpool defender on Radio 5 live

Zlatan seemed to have an eternity, just waiting for the ball. He was onside. It was a great ball from Paul Pogba and Zlatan just caressed it into the far corner. A great finish.

GOAL - Blackburn 1-2 Man Utdpublished at 75 mins

    Zlatan Ibrahimovic

The substitutes combine to give Manchester United the lead.

Paul Pogba lifts the ball from halfway and over the defence for Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who times his run perfectly before waiting for the bounce and then hooking the ball into the far corner.

Jose Mourinho repeatedly punches the air, probably more in relief than delight.

  20. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 17:50 Greenwich Mean Time 19 February 2017

    Blackburn 1-1 Man Utd

First change for Blackburn as Connor Mahoney comes on for Liam Feeney. Mahoney is immediately involved, getting past Matteo Darmian before winning the hosts a corner. He takes it and Charlie Mulgrew heads into the net, but Martin Atkinson had already blown for a foul.
