  5. GREAT SAVE!published at 22mins

    St Johnstone 0-1 Celtic

Celtic squander a great opportunity to increase the lead on the break. Just as Saints were enjoying their best period of the game, Scott Sinclair bursts into the home half and sets up Gary Mackay-Steven, but the Scottish winger hesitates and his effort is blocked by goalkeeper Zander Clark.

    St Johnstone 0-1 Celtic

Richard Foster makes a clever run into the Celtic penalty box and is found by Danny Swanson's sweet pass, but the former Aberdeen and Rangers man's Achilles heel has always been finishing and goalkeeper Craig Gordon comes out to make a fine block with his legs from close range.

I think St Johnstone have to make it more difficult for Celtic in the middle of the park. They are playing wee triangles around them and St Johnstone should be getting much closer to them

    St Johnstone 0-1 Celtic

Celtic goalkeeper Craig Gordon plays one of his lazy clearances straight to Danny Swanson and the winger's first-time drive whizzes past the near post.

That's not the kind of distribution the Scotland international will want to display should he want Chelsea to come back in for him at the end of the season.

    Liam Henderson

Celtic make an early breakthrough. Goalkeeper Zander Clark had already denied Gary Mackay-Steven at the front post, but the corner results in the opening goal.

Clark can only parry Patrick Roberts' low drive and Liam Henderson makes the most of his rare start by a sublime curler into the corner of the net from 15 yards.

    St Johnstone 0-0 Celtic

St Johnstone are playing Murray Davidson high up the park, almost in a twin striker role beside Graham Cummins. Meanwhile, Richard Foster has been pushed forward into the right-wing role, with Keith Watson behind, in a double full-back ploy to thwart the danger of Celtic left-back Kieran Tierney.

  18. KICK-OFFpublished at 12:30 Greenwich Mean Time 5 February 2017

    St Johnstone v Celtic

St Johnstone kick-off in Perth, where the rain has thankfully subsided for the moment.

  19. In-form hostspublished at 12:29 Greenwich Mean Time 5 February 2017

Saints have won three of their last four games, their only defeat being that loss to Celtic in Glasgow last month.

Dedryck Boyata got the only goal that day - the only time the Saints have conceded during those four games - and the former Manchester City defender has grabbed what was a rare chance to start in the side and has kept his place since then.

St Johnstone have lost on their last three visits to Celtic Park, but they don't have to go too far back for a win there - Danny Swanson giving them a 1-0 victory in March 2015.
